So is this game gonna have races AND crashes like the last Burnout games, or is it gonna be races only. I watched a couple of trailers but they only had races and some sort of stunts.

There are crashes, but they are different from the old games. The new crash mode lets you control your car while it spins sideways over the street. You need to manuver it into as many cars as possible. The ign review says that it's too easy to be fun...

I just checked out the gameSpy review for this and it states:

Burnout is not the same now with Paradise...here's my review of the Demo,wich is the same as the full game in some parts:

For the lazy people:
Some people will kill me for writting this,but after playing the demo just 3 times it already gave me the reason to NOT buy BURNOUT PARADISE..
(Note that i've been a fan of BURNOUT since BURNOUT 3 TAKEDOWN till DOMINATOR)
Also readin' up http://ps3.ign.com/articles/846/846020p1.html it clarified me up to not buy this game,not only bcz the writer said it but my opinion about that THERE'S NO "RESTART" option to go back to the beginnin' of a challenge and try it again..
Plus the way you do a challenge like the demo.."Find your own way to the finish line" just stinks...it's supposed to BLAST your opponents and fill up the race with full speed n action,not just go to random ways without havin' time to check your map...if you do u'll mostly CRASH ^^;
Yeah,awesome shiny graphics and a great soundtrack,plus new gameplay like and new modes (or with a washed name),but the restart thing and no "go directly to a challenge" option just like the NFSUnderground to Carbon sagas disappointed me and that means that Criterion n EA are goin' from awesome to boring back riding..
EA n Criterion,you got TAKEDOWN'ed!..

Sounds like you didn't play the previous games at all. I'd say that it's exetly like before. Burnout 1 and 2 were very different from Takedown and Revenge, the difference is similar in size to change happening with Paradise.
Burnour 2 tweaked the mechanics of its predecessor but Burnout Takedown completely changed them. Then Revenge tweaked the mechanics of Takedown and now Paradise changes them again.
They apply the same formula they did in the past and I'm glad about that. Takedown was my favourite game of the series so far, but Revenge somehow felt like there was too little evolution in gameplay design. With Paradise offering something new, created by the same talented people that amazed me with Takedown, I'm looking forward to Paradise.
