|
 |
For me psp is kinda dead.
I am waiting on few games
GT if it ever comes.
Final Fantasy.
new GTA not semi clone from ps2.
I use it now only for wireless internet and movies. All the new games are boring or have very bad controls.
What do you think?

I play games on mine but not that often. Waiting on Crisis Core. Its also great for watching downloaded tv episodes especially if you travel on the train a lot like I do!
And as long as there is porn the PSP will never be dead lol.
May the NFOrce be with you always.

I think I will sell my PSP when I played Crisis Core and God of War. There's nothing to be waiting for after that...

don't forget there's tons of PSX games + GBA + Nintendo64 + other consoles

I don't really play that much PSP. But then there are not so many great games. I played GTA:LCS, but VCS just couldn't get to me, it was just too much of the same game...
I played the Syphon Filter games, both were great. ATM I am playing Manhunt 2 which is quite fun, and the PSX Resident Evil games.
I don't bother playing the PS2 remakes/spinoffs, those are mostly bad and you are better off playing the game on PS2.

I play a little FMH 2008 and Tekken everyday and Winning Eleven 2008 just got released so i´ll probably play that a lot too. Also completed recently Pursuit Force 1&2,Syphon Filter Logan´s Shadow and the amazingly funny (but so short) Harvey Birdman : Attorney at Law.
And then there is the occasional nostalgic attack that makes me put one or two psx games on the memory stick or a couple of emulators and roms.
So,yes,i use mine for games.

Heh, really dead for me...finally faced up to the fact I'll never play it again. Traded it in for like 60 bucks at gamestop with a bunch of games for the price of another core 360.
I just figure there is so much out there that isn't crippled like the PSP is with its one analogue stick controls. If I want fun little handheld games that are unique to any system, I'll play my DSlite. If I want to watch shows widescreen while I am waiting somewhere, I've got my ipod touch. I think touchscreen has pretty much evolved into the best thing ever for portable devices.
Also just no room for a system sony made so many idiotic decisions with...UMD, yet another failing format...one analogue stick...not bringing so many great ps games to the portable, or later than they should have come...crappy online implementation compared to ds(even with the crappy fc system)...
Anyways thats just me, I'm sure there are those out there having a blast with it, but I personally saw no worth in the thing after the initial coolness wore off.

had the same with gta VCS. The first gta was like ok ok there is nothing better so we can handle it. But I played gta vice city so much on ps2 that I could not get more of that anymore. And now GTA4 comes I will not even look at my psp

Not sure about the mail client, I bought mine before the new apps came out. I don't really miss 'em, tho, cuz with homebrew apps popping up all the time, I figure all the awesome indie coders will come out with something better. I know that browsing on it is a breeze. Even kinda prefer the virtual kb to my cell's slide-out kb, funny enough.
And Yeah, I think it's worth buying without really needing/wanting a mp3 player. I probably use mine 50/50, half as mp3 player, half as everything else. I download video podcasts direct to it(along with everything else, mobile ftp heh), have about a dozen ebooks on it, dictionary/thesaurus/encyclopedia/calender/calculator and all kinds of converters, Games of course - especially emulators(ScummVM ftw!) and the physics games that use the accelerometer which are getting better each day. I check the repositories almost every day to find a new use for it and its badass hardware inside.
Pretty much it is a pda-type device with nearly unlimited possibilities that you can actually fit in your pocket with ease...plus it plays mp3s, heh.

i sold mine about 4 months back. All the new games (back then) were boring and it was collecting dust so i sold it.
I decided to get a DS after that, much more cheaper to buy and games are pretty weird but keeps me entertained on the london underground
