According to this link, the game will have:
-3rd person only
-three classes ("commando" - sniper, "soldier", "protection" - explosives)
-level system (which allows you to unlock new abilities)
-low hardware requirements (duh!)
-low financing by advertisement (not like in 2142, seems like you have to start the game from the internet portal)
-buyable objects (mainly of cosmetic nature, weapons, or vehicles, + an experience booster)
-open beta test in the summer
(don't blame me if I got it wrong, online translations ftw )
Doesn't sound halfway bad, but it's EA, so I reserve my judgment.

Well...you see, a ripoff begins where someone claims he did something but it really wasn't his doing. To quote the first post :
| Quote: | | "featuring a Team Fortress 2-like art style" |
It wasn't TF 2 to feature such style so...it's a ripoff. And if it's said that B:H will have gfx like TF 2 it's copying a ripoff which is sad too. In terms of gfx of course, not gameplay!

Nah, ruins diversity in gameplay, the more classes the better ways of obtaining different strategic victories.

Yes, but wha't the point of having them if they're ineffective and unbalanced....?

You have to obtain diversity to keep the game fresh and interesting to explore, its an art to obtain the perfect balance of classes, weapons and vehicles to make people come back and enjoy it again & again. And im quite sure this freeware game wont achieve anything like that...

Yeah it's pure 'theory'. But in reality we get AAA+ class products that still are unbalanced like Hellgate London and even BF series.

Sure but if they cant get it right in the real BF games then how on earth are they going to achieve it here?

Those pics have to be taken with a camera -- parts of the HUD are cropped and it's blurry as hell. I highly doubt it will look as shitty as those pics.

How many times have you said Ripoff now? Who cares if the graphics look the same, there's like million of same looking games out there.

EA Bought neowiz last year (korean online game portal) this is their business model and this structure is a copy of their popular game AVA (discussed in another thread). All their games are launched from the website. Its quite fun and the ads are non-obtrusive.

Yeah, but AVA looks great (it uses UE3), while this looks like a pos from the shots.

Now this made me fall off the chair laughing. EA and honor in one sentence?
I would say you got an odd sense of humor, but i dont find it funny myself.
As for the idea.
TS2ish graphics and class based gameplay:
They will never beat the original in this aspect. TF2 cartoon style graphics are funny, the whole game is funny. Classes as extremely well balanced. As for being funny, you'll not have that in a ww2 game. As for well balanced? EA? A bad joke at best.
Pay-to-compete:
I guess they will make you pay for extra unlocks and stuff, just like they did in some of the previous expansion packs for previous BF games. At first this might not be a problem, especially if you are not a ranking freak, but eventually you'll end up being a freeloading cannon fodder for those who pay.
Finally:
Its f-ing EA. I brought their game once. NEVER AGAIN. Seriously, they've got the worst online distribution system, the most annoying and pathetic patching and very unstable games.
All in one:
I join those who hope this project of theirs will crash and burn. EA is the evil galactic empire making the developers (jedi) defect to their (the dark) side. Once there, the corrupted developers spread instability and crashes through their games.
EA is the DEVIL, which we know is evil.
