Doesn't matter which version or crack... 5 or 10 seconds after the main menu pops up it freezes with looping sound.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Same deal here does not matter what version i have the same exact problem, someone has some answers i would greatly appreciate some input, i wanna get my turn to see if it sucks or not.

That happens to me in games when I have my card overclocked a lil too far to it's limits and starts to heat up. |

Someone mentioned this earlier, If you disable your sound card through device manager, it fixes the problem, so obviously it does not like something about a particular sound card, etc.
I too had this problem, and this does fix the game from the menu problem, but its not worth it with no sound. btw I have an X-Fi Extreme Gamer.
Edit: also if you want to play with sound you can just rush through the menu and start a game before the problem starts.....

I would think with all the ppl having this issue that last patch wouldhave issued this problem go figure
