|
 |
Hello all,
I was using WIndows Vista lately, but i´m experieince some issues with Internet drops and Divx stuttering.
I´m considering going back to XP, but last time i tried it was a pain, actually i went back to vista, since it was a lot easier to bypass the activation and WGA.
A few years back i had a WinXP, never did the actiavtion, it came activated by default, but this release is extremely old, no SP inclueded.
So i downloaded etho´s release, DIC and Sept... had actiavtion issues with both.
Once in a while i got winlogon.exe crashes (BSOD at startup with autoshutdown message caueses by winlogon.exe crash). also some protection files alerts, etc..
this force me to reinstall vista, even i didn´t want it.
Now i want to give XP a chance.. but i want to know if there is a Windows XP releasese as the one i used to use. With SP2 installed, etc but without having to use a patch or something to actviate. some release already activated? i can deal with WGA crachks but activation should be already implemented.
Thanks

I reinstalled XP today... needless to say, Vista went right back on. I can't handle XP anymore.. I don't care what people say, if your rig is powerful enough, Vista is about 1000x better eXPerience than vista is

if your going back to use XP use an eth0 release. Sounds more like user error than somethign wrong with XP

inet drops could be caused by router/modem, divx stuttering = codec pack/player, having trouble with k-lte try cccp or other way around
judging by your sig i don't see any reason why u would actually use vista
u have shitty cpu and old ass card which not only does not support dx10 but it doesn't even have sm 3.0, so going back to xp will be your best choise
btw i stopped updating long time ago, had some issues after applying certain updates, couldn't figure out which one it was |
I updated my Sig. New System.. since... 2 or 3 weeks.
Inet drops started since i went do vista. Never had this issue. if you browse the internet you could find many people with this problem, they actally went back to xp for this reason only.
Video stuttering, i´m not sure what could be wrong here. i don´t blame vista alone, but also started since i went to vista. I also find some weird behivor like HD spinning while my system is idle... cpu usage it´s at 0 but the HDD start spinning for like a whole min and then stop.. why, don´t know... don´t notice any perfomance lost, but still weird. (already scan for virus).

hmmm could be, i don´t rule that out.
I read the activation crack should be run it on Safe mode, i´m not sure if i did it on that mode actually... maybe that is the reason why i start getting those Winlogon.exe crashes at startup.

Definitely not an user error on my part
I've found vista to have greater usability for a power user when tweaked properly

Well, first of all, the scaling of everything on my bigscreen was terrible... and all GUI enhancements were shit..
Second of all, despite the 'stability', when installing Crysis I began getting flickers of shadows. Nothing I had in Vista.
Warcraft 3 gave me game errors constantly, and actually, now that I've reinstalled vista and disabled a majority of the unnecessary services, it uses about the same memory as XP did.

I never ran any of those cracks in safemode, but if the nfo tells you to do it you should.

If you want a release of 'Windows XP Pro. with SP2 VL', that has post-SP2 updates integrated and passes WGA with the supplied VLK, then the latest release is :
Windows.XP.Professional.Student.Edition.SP2.Integrated.December.2007-ETH0

I'm using the same XP.
@ cultor : student versions are the best. u don't need to activate them and MS see them as genuine. every student version runs with the same s3rial also

I just got XPCE.Windows.XP.Pro.SP3.v3300.Corporate.
Edition.No.Crack.Needed.No.Activation.Passes.WGA.x86(32-bit).version.
I'm a n00b to making copies of Windows. Do I have to burn this and restart the computer to run it? Nothing happened when I mounted it in DT.
