Hello Smile

I bought an Aprilia rs 125 on Thursday everything started for the 1st 2 days nps whatsoever but the last 3 days it just won't start.
I've changed the sparkplug got the local chavs to bump me on it as no1 else would.
Cleaned the carb and airbox out still won't start.
Any suggestions or fixes will be greatly helpful Smile

Thanks Smile

I am probably not the person to offer assistance as I know little of mechanical devices,
but I would take this back to basics. First you are asking people for help, yet offer no
symptoms, or description of what happens when you try to start it. Is it making strange noises? no noise? smoke? sputtering?

Doest it seem to fire at all when you try and turn it over?

The basics you probably know but here the first things to try.

1. Spark, are the plugs sparking when you turn it over.
2. Fuel, is the carb filling up with fuel, is it getting to much fuel and flooding? Is the fuel freely flowing from gas tank to filter(If available) to carb and onto the cylinder?
3. Air, is the air filter clean, anything obstructing air to the engine.

If you can verify all of the above, make sure its fire when you try and turn it over, if it is, it could be something as simple as air fuel mixture (Adjust the needles on the carb) or something bigger like a timing issue etc.

Im no mechanic, but i have had dirt bikes for almost my entire life. Odds are its something simple like one of the 3.

Thankx for the tips Bigperm Smile
I think it's either an air/fuel problem or that the bike has been starved of fuel by fuel pipe cracking or just a pipe has become blocked?
I'll give it a try tommorrow and see Smile

Any more tips gladly welcome Smile

North American motorcycles have a fuel shutoff valve.

By chance have you switched off the fuel?

our cars have it too.

This may be dumb but check all your fuses. If you blow a fuel pump fuse you get no fuel.
