Yea I get the unplayable message also with COD3. Tells me to clean the disc. The little dashboard thing on the right hand side comes up and then disappear and then comes up again and disappears and this just keeps on going on over and over until I turn off the console.

hm i only get the text unplayable disc where it sais open or close tray usually.. but only on those game i said.. so i wouldnt worry about that it is the box since i have burned about 15 games after that that works flawless..

my COD4 disc used to say unplayable then the more I played it, the more it kept giving me the "Unplayable" error, until finally now it doesnt work at all, just sits at the dashboard. But it was a brand new game, no scratches. But it seems like other games do this too when i play them, they get worse and start to not play as well...on both of my 360's games have messed up like this (Mass effect, Assasins Creed, and COD4)...how come?

CoD 4 wasnt the game getting poeple Ban, my friends still plays on Live.
base on my Live account, the games that i think got me ban was either the Guitar Hero custom or Live Arcade Volume 2.

Highly unlikely, they make you pay for everything on Live
::EDIT:: I see on CoD 4 website that theres 4 maps on the Marketplace for 800ms points but i dont know if its the same map pack...although we already have a shit load of new maps on PC

i know what you thinking ,where have you been for the last few years
but i admit i have been aparently sleeping:)
i burned this game long time ago but didnt have time to play it(job,kids...)
i picked up this game few days ago and couldnt let go
this game is fucking awesome although makes me dizzy sometimes its so great i couldnt stop playing.
amazing like your part of a movie or something.
i am defintly hooked ,waiting for the wold at war like theres no tomorow:)

I still love this game. Its actually currently in my xbox right now. Was playing it this morning. I fell in love with this game since last years E3.

I've finished it yesterday. The graphics look extremely good, the storyline (for a FPS) is decent. I really like some NPC's like Cpt. Price. Still, the game has it's flaws:
- respawning enemies - that really ruins gameplay experience for me. That's why I did not finish the game last year... When I kill something I like it to stay dead like in Rainbow Six, GoW, Ghost Recon. In CoD4 it's more about running to certain spots than shooting, that sucks a lot.
- too short. Finished it in one evening, not good.
Would be great for me if there was no respawning of enemies.
I absolutely love the sniper mission in Chernobyl - state of the art and the enemies respawn in final sequence only.

Theres this 1 mission I just cant seem to beat. No Fighting In The War Room on veteran difficulty. Ive been trying all day yesterday but that mission is just insanely impossible to beat. Any tips?

Well, basically you have to run to a certain spot to stop the respawnig of enemies, then next spot, niex spot, checkpoint and that's it. You just CAN'T kill the enemies, they keep respawning.
