Well, I didn't play it for quite some time now but two things I can remember right now are that you were able to set paths for your teammates pre-mission with waypoints and stuff, like in the old rainbow six games.

I think you also had more teammates to choose from and I believe they also got experience and increased their skills to aim and stuff over time.

pretty cool!

Actually, the planing-phase was made on the fly. With other words in the map menu, put out waypoints and order different approatch methodes for your teammates. But you can do that in GRAW too.

The experience points you have right in, and it had more teammates.

Not really sure how to answer that. It just didn't feel like ghost recon. The setting sucked, the story sucked etc. Seemed more like a brainless FPS where you just run into a city and start shooting. The original ones were more about stealth, watch your step.

for me this game was like Republic Commando and still will be .... SW:RC was the mother of the rest of copy cats that "borrowed" the team control scheme and gameplay of todays FPS that have a team

Graw was and is a turd the same with the second shizzle, on the console it was a TPPoop action shizzle and on the PC FPShit , hate games that give the stealth illusion but in fact are about gunho tactics

but hey in this year or in 2009 Graw will be turned into a console RTS named ENDWAR .... Rolling Eyes looks like UBI turned Ghosts into bitches like Nintendo did with Mario

but Ghost recon advanced warrior or what it was called was pure console garbage fps.
And i like console games but please, fps should stay on the PC, Coop fps can be fun on the console but thats it.

The PC version was developed by a different developer, it was also a very different game.
some textures and models were used in both games, but other than that it was a different game.

the missions were different, the interface was different, the console version was actually third person while the PC version was first person.
It was overall a lot more action oriented on the xbox360.

GRAW 1 and 2 did feel pretty unfinished, but they definitely weren't console garbage.
Just decent PC games.

Yes i know another company made the PC version, but it sure felt like a console game to me.
The level design was very "consolish", honestly i didnt really see a big difference from the console version except that the console version had better graphics than the PC version, if i remember it correctly.
Still it was pretty much a big decline from the old games in the series, just like the Rainbow six games.

And i didnt call the Ghost recon games (1-2) console garbage, read my post.
I was refering to Advanced warror and the rainbow six games after Raven shield.

Yea, COD2 engine runs great and looks beautiful now that they've tweaked the fuck out of it.

On the plus side Vegas 2 uses the updated UE3 engine, so 80% of the issues that the original Vegas had are gone.

Check out the new trailers, you can tell the game runs a lot smoother from those, and in a worst case scenario, they'll do a shit PC port (because they're ubi), and I'll just get the 360 ver.

Fuck you! Laughing joking

Didn't the 360 version of RSV ran smooth too? I think they did a poor job on the PC because the engine was not yet ready for PC. I assume when they got the UE3 license, Epic were at hard work or just finishing Gears, not yet optimized for PC.

Well considering Vegas was like the first game to use the engine I don't blame it for running like shit. But seeing all the new games that came out that seem to be getting better performance as they come out I'm....well....was gunna say I'm sure UBI couldn't fuck it up but who am I kidding.

Hey, hey, come on now. I was NEVER a console sympathizer... until one day a few months back.

Where a friend of mine, for some dumbass reason, bought a 360 premium, 7 games, 2 controllers, 2 guitars, and a wireless adapter( total is up to 800$ or so) and then sold it to me for 300$ a month later. How can you say no to it? Razz.

Main reason I wanted it was for a few console-only games, and aside from stuff like Burnout Paradise and Force Unleashed, if a game is multi-platform I'll have it on PC... unless it's a horrid port and an amazing game.

I find it amazing that everyone here has forgot about RSV1 and the famous bugs and the lack of support. All you have to do today is actually log on to the rsv1 official forum to see how optimistic the fans are. But i guess commercial advertising really works.

Haha, don't worry, I was considering buying a 360 myself. The problem here in IL is 360 isn't sold officially, and with all the 3rod problems, I just got scared. So I'm saving for a 9800GTX! Very Happy

GoW ran as smooth as a baby's ass. I hope all UE3 games run as smooth as that. The problem with GoW was Shit For Windows Live.

Trailer for the "limited edition" - guess it shows various bonuses that players will receive with this version.

EDIT: Looks like it promotes a strategy guide in video form (Similar to those making of videos I'd suppose.) from Ubisoft's girl gamers (Fragdolls.)

Well yeah it looks more like a video interview with that Fragdolls group and some Vegas players (A clan perhaps?) so this "limited" edition isn't that special.
(Keychain and exclusive trailer for Endwar isn't that interesting either.)

Then again most collectors or limited editions are rather basic with the usual soundtrack and making of disc though there are exceptions such as the metal sword and bonus DVD in the Royal Edition of Two Worlds. (I also got a ton of bugs as it was version 1.0 compared to the later released English only US and UK editions that came pre-patched to version 1.5 )

That statue of a big daddy in the BioShock collectors edition is also quite well made but alot of them were damaged in various ways due to careless handling or bad packaging.
(The artbook and other items in "The Witcher" was also very nice but from what I understand the local editions had even more stuff in them such as that wolf amulet.)

As for the game itself it seems interesting and I enjoyed the original Vegas but it was quite different from the previous iterations such as Rogue Spear. (Lockdown was quite bad however.)
(Albeit seeing that "To be continued" text at the ending was quite a letdown.)

Im only hoping that R6: V2 will run better than the first one. All settings at Low, the game was barely running at 10fps. So i end up playing on the X360 but when it comes the multiplayer, i cant stand retarded console online gaming.

nice, i hated how there were no story or cutsscenes in the 1st parts co-op
.Nice thing that there will be AI's to control, it would be better for each player to control one or two by himself not just the 'boss/host' but oh well..

Too bad you won't be able to play the campgain with the custom character..

edit: Hm, well i do hope, that i'm wrong Smile
