kenny64 summed it up perfect, the graphics are amazing but its just not enough to oversome the repetivness of the missions.

lol well this is the pc and some of us have played Crysis with full details turned on so whatever comes from the console better have damn good gameplay caus' graphics won't keep me on the screen as it won't come anywhere near the level Crysis is. Ubisoft clearly got lazy with this game, splinter cell was never repetitive quite the opposite, they created this hype that would probably guarantee decent sales and screwed the fucking game.

Please, graphics is not all about what kind of HDR and post processing are enabled and what draw distance the engine supports. Art direction is also very important. For example, I find the graphics of Gears of War and BioShock to be better then Crysis (as a whole, not engine features).

I was talking about technical graphics but yes, art graphics are important as well and I definitely do not find gow and bioschock better looking than Crysis in fact gow looks like a peace of gray shit to me, I meant that Crysis is worth playing threw just and only because of the graphics which other and possibly future console games can't offer because of limited hardware, if a console game comes up with such a superb art direction well, I'll take my hat of to that game but assasin's creed isn't that game I've seen the video review, nothing special really but that could be because I've played some beauties, once you see that there is no going back, you always compare.

you need very expensive hardware to play at those graphics. I personally have a single 8800GTX and I still can't play at full

I agree 110% with you, Crysis wasn't that impressive, I mean we've already seen all that jungle stuff in Far Cry and if you're playn' the game, you have no time to watch all those sunsets and how brilliantly the turtle's shield is made...the atmosphere is much more important and Bioshock, Gears of War and even the old TESIV: Oblivion had a very good one, Crysis was just Far Cry with better graphics (and a much more boring story)

what was the most impressive about crysis was not graphics but physics and feeling that you can go anywhere and do almost everything.. a lot of people flame crysis because of bad optimization and stuff but to be honest every game after crysis felt so dull and linear

you know i feel bad about waiting for a game that everyone who played said to be repetitive, dull and too hyped up for it's own good. AC will suck, Mass Effect will not come to the PC, and what have we ended up waiting for? Spore. That's it. *ramble off*

How is that bad news rushed ports are a piece of dog shit, this game should get more polished. Who knows maybe they are getting rid of the repetitiveness as we speak Very Happy probably not, but only because it would piss of the console users, they could do it if they wanted to in a flash.

you assume more time = more care which actually = false.

its just taking longer because they no longer really care as pc gamers sadly arent worth the effort anymore... they had a surpluss of hookers trucked in to the building, and they pushed back the release date to get throught them all.

dont worry, when it gets released, im sure we'll have plenty of poor graphics and crashes and unintuitive controls to look forward too. weeee!!!

but hey... this is why we dont buy shit anymore i guess Wink

This is even less realistic than mine Laughing programmers and hookers?! they are not football players you know.

Here is my equation based on exp.: port that is released later=much better than ports released at the same time as console, always at least better, splinter cell 1 was perfect, jade's empire I didn't play but heard it was flawless more or less, Fable I played couldn't tell it was a port at all (unless if you count the claustrophobic levels), always better to be late with ports, remember that.

what with an unfinished story an intermediate school student could have written for an assignment? multiplayer thats completely unfinished/unsupported/unprotected and just plain badly implimented (dont get me wrong, it'd be fun with more servers, more maps, and without the hackers, but thats really the problem isnt it..., and the... lets face it.. pretty linear level design when it claimed to be a completely open 'world'...

yeah dont get me wrong, i didnt HATE crysis, but 95% just goes to show you what a joke pcgamer has become... crysis is a game that could and should have been the greatest shit ever since the slide whistle, it just got released when it was about 70% finished.

how this all ties in with assassins creed you may ask? well it just does ok.. Very Happy

Most publications gave Crysis good reviews because they had to. Imagine a game in Dev for that many years, with that huge of a fanbase awaiting release scoring 6's/60%. That would be a huge disaster, I think reviewers were obligated to just throw out a higher score then it deserved.
