yeah ive seen the show.. just seemed like it tries way too hard to be funny without having funny people actually writing the scripts... also that jason batman guy only works in very small doses and never when hes trying to be funny... he wouldnt be bad in serious roles but hes just not a comedy actor.
and yeah i know, each to their own tastes, ive said it before, i just dont find american 'comedies' to be all that funny, just like how i thoguht that meet the spartans movie was stupid, same with shows like this... but hey, different people find different things funny, im sure youd hate a lot of things i find funny, so as long as your enjoying it, thats what matters.

We had that show here about 6 months ago, but they canceled it... It was kinda funny imo, I really don't know why they canceled it...

Well labelling all American comedy to be on the same wagon is just plain naive, of course taste its subjective, but cmon you can spot good writing and I must say Arrested Development & The Office have decent writing and great characters to back it up, unlike Meet The Spartans, Date Movie, Scary Movie, Epic Movie the above are just trying way to hard with ridicolous spoofs, shallow characters, and overall trying way to hard to do anything.

its naive to say that i dont like or understand american humor? i dont think so... i freely admit that its not something im into , ive watched a lot of american made series and movies and generally the humor is all the same - these are shows made for american viewers and so they use typical american humor, and it just happens to not be the type that i enjoy. i mean yeah ok sure, more effort is probably put into this show than any of those movies you mentioned, but generally the types of humor are the same.. the shows might just be written and acted BETTER, but its still the same type of cultural humor americans love and that their films and series are known for.
im not trying to say you have a crap sense of humor or anything like that, im just simply trying to convey that i dont find typical american humor to be funny to me.. i have american friends showing me tv adverts from over there and trying to get me to watch clips from shows and so on, saying its the funniest shit ever, and to me it just comes across as pathetic, and even sometimes, insulting... nah american humor just isnt for me.
i will say that there are one or two american made comedy series that i do like, so im not saying its ALL crap or anything... just most of it.

Well all im saying is the comedy in general reflect on the culture its established in, the tricky thing with this is the american culture is not static and very hard to clarify it and thereby I see it as something which can be rather lame but also quite intriquing. But all in all its about taste, but im still going to say its rather hard to put American Humor as a synomynous with "bad"

well its all down to a matter of taste, so i cant really label it as universally bad, i can only say that i dont like it.
but your statement about things changing is quite true... american comedy in the 80s i quite enjoyed, series and movies, but as it is at the moment, i just dont find it funny and generally find it quite distasteful... once more, ill repeat, thats just my opinion... american humor at one time was good, but the way its changed to what its become now, i find to be quite lame for the most part. rarely theres something quite good, but otherwise, its just not for me... not at the moment anyway... who knows, perhaps in 20 years i might like it again.

AD was hilarious. I've watched the first series five or six times, and its always funny because I hear jokes that I missed the first time because I was laughing over them. It was so funny, they didn't even need a laughter track.

i downloaded this not long ago, watched it like 4 times lol (all 3 seasons 4 times), its seriously 1 of the best comedies ever.
And definitely a must-see.

Any new show who use "laughter tracks" is a big NO NO, for me. I can't stand it. urgh!
I don't want to be told whats supposed to be funny. I love the awkward silence for example.

Just started watching it as everybody seems to love this show. If the rest of the show is like the pilot, it's awesome rarely laughed so much with a tv show.

‘Arrested Development’ Season 4 Begins Shooting in 4 Weeks
Arrested Development was canceled more than six years ago, so you could forgive people who didn’t quite believe that there would ever be a feature film or a follow-up television series (even though both were announced last year at The New Yorker film festival). Since then, we’ve learned that the new series will be 10 episodes long and air on Netflix all at once.
