The Halo 2 graphics are amazing.
Sure, the bump mapping is not as extreme as it is in Doom 3.
But you must keep in mind that Doom 3 basically only small rooms and corridors, while Halo 2's outdoor levels are as big as Far Cry's!
They're just HUGE and look so cool it's unbelievable!

If you put it on easy maybe... just be sure to challenge yourself.
You owe it to yourself to start on Hard or something, really get the right mileage out of this game.

on easy its just run and shoot with your eyes closed and thats it. But he said it was on normal.
Anyway, i've heard that the leaked version was a beta and so it isn't the final version.

New Multiplayer map for Halo2 "Foundation"
Found this playin around with the files tonight and it only works multiplayer on local xbox not online - but of course it will work online if the ppl you connect with have used the method described:
First of all you have to sacrifice a map to gain this one I chose beavercreek, just choose one you dont like - and you will backup the map anyway.
Go into Halo_2\maps folder on xbox drive backup the .map file "foudation" and the map you choose to replace to your pc.
Then rename the "foundation" file on your xbox to whatever map you removed aka "beavercreek.map"
Load up multiplayer game and choose the map you replaced - beaver creek
Cool map for some slayer mayhem.
Maybe someone else can figure out how to unlock it in the regular menu

Halo 1 had 2 multiplayer maps that were only available once you beat the game. can't remember which difficulty though, so it's very likely that this one is simply enabled once you beat Halo 2 on some specific difficulty.

does anyone know if there is a different movie for the difficulty u beat it on... ofcourse normal has a bad ending but seems like the higher difficulty would have the same too cuz of what is shown.

halo 2 is just really hard on the higher difficulty levels, I don't see myself completing it on Legendary anytime soon.
I also don't really wanna play it again, I completed it on normal and would like to let it be now until I get my hands on the english version.
Otherwise I'll have played the french stuff so much that by the time I get the english one I know the game in and out and it's no fun anymore, and that would SUCK

Just a quick question.
I have 2 XBOX consoles, one PAL for live and one modded.
I will be buying the UK PAL release of Halo 2 for playing online.
Is it gonna be safe to copy my "french" game save file from my modded console to my standard XBOX when the UK version comes out?
Or would I just be better off playing through and completing the game again on the UK version?

Hmm, seems like mine is having problems finding the map files on the DVD. When I go to start a multi game, it says "Failed to load map file" and won't let me start up the game.
Anyone else had / heard of similar problems?

Well it wouldn't surprise me in the least if it was released 5 minutes from now nevermind sometime before the 9th of November. A friend of mine told me that his local target already has copies of it behind the counter, and if they have it other retailers will have it already which means that someone somewhere could get a hold of it and release it.

LOL. I really can't see whats so hard to believe about retailers already having the game in stock 2 weeks before sale. It happens all the time, and with a game this big MS will want to make sure it gets it out to all of it's retailers worldwide on time to ensure that everyone has it for sale on November 9th.

Yeah i know where you're coming from, but personally i can't see what difference there is between releasing this game on the net and any other game that groups have released before the official release date. Sure, it's a big game for MS, but the crime remains exactly the same regardless of how much money a game will make or whether it's done before release date or not and i'm sure exactly the same punishments apply when they catch you for something like that. I really can't imagine a group getting their hands on an English copy of Halo 2 pre Nov 9 and thinking that they better hold off ojn releasing it because they are suddenly scared that MS are going to hunt them down.

whats so hard is that not even ebgames has it..and its mostly the first place that always does..shipping only takes a day to get to the stores u know..wel where i live..dunno about other places.
