do i need to play the first parts or the storyline is independent and if not- will i lose something for playing just black plague? Rolling Eyes

I would highly recommend playing overture before this, theres a fair few referances to the story of the last one and some of the puzzles you did.

just that the game would start from the middle, in the mines
and the first one was brilliant so i would start with that in any case

That broken bottle part was very well scripted shit. I felt like I was literally playing a movie. I love how you first figure out to make the room look like the picture. So then you go around placing all the objects in their appropriate place. Then you finally look at the table, then at the picture, and realize the bottle shouldn't be there. So you pick it up and toss it aside and it smashes, and at that very instant the room completely changes.

Overture was awesome, and black plague is turning out to be even better. I was more creeped out by overture though. Black Plague doesn't creep me out as much for some reason.

A bit more than a dozen or so. Its easy to evade them if you know their routes..but sometimes they suddenly smash through doors and start chasing you. Then its time for "Run Forrest, run!" Very Happy

completed this last nite, seemed easier than overture, I just walked through it really, fairly simple.

story was so-so, didnt really enjoy how it went. gameplay was same as penumbra, thos some puzzles in this one seemed like 'well have a good guess and you mite get it right eventually' rather than logic. Framerate seemed to be better in this one. I remember being scared in penumbra, but in this one I was forced to run away from danger (not being given any type of melee weapons let alone any kind of weapons at all) sometimes facing the danger with a crap weapon is more scary than just sprinting away at full pelt.

well, another one completed and uninstalled.....next!

I don't know if I'm completely stupid or what but I can't see how I'm supposed, to find the password for the very first computer in the game which is supposed to unlock a door. I've got another jammed door, and a strange artifact (not the save) which I don't know what is it's use. I got the CD drive too.. but no cd.
