When I launch the exe, the it says engine running for a few seconds, and then pops up with the following error:
"Unable to load soundemittersystem.dll"
I've tried to re-install the game and the same problem still occurs... any suggestions?

i am able to get the game running but every time i try and connect to a server, it gets to saying connecting to server then it comes out of it and i end up back to main menu.
any suggestions?

Counter-Strike.Source.PROPER-LuZiFeR
I have tried multiple times, either mounting using alcohol 120% or burning to cdr and i get the same error at the end (near end) of installation.
"Install Unsuccessful" and it quits and removes the icon and all files from the install directory.
I have rebooted, did a few harddrive scans, etc... I have over 220 gigs free on c: with nothing really running during install.
Ive installed and uninstalled Steam, and tried many combinations to install it properly, yet no luck on this machine (p4 3.2ghz, 1gig ddr, 300gig hdd, fx 5200)
yet it installs fine on my friends amd 1.67ghz 512 ddr, 160gig hdd, radeon 9700pro
any ideas?
(its not a game startup problem, its an install problem)

Get the proper version... The one u are using is the nuked release
Emporios release are fine if u try to follow the readme...

um, the version i have is fine, installs ok on my computer perfectly

This server is using a newer protocol ( 5 ) than your client ( 2 ).
?
already reinstalled cs with the updates.
any1 know how 2 fix this shit.?

Looks like valve has blocked the crack or something.
When I tried to start a game with bots i got this error:
] bot_add_t
Yanni connected
Dropped Yanni from server
Reason: Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket (8)
A friend of mine also tried to connect, and steam requested a password and saying that his steamticket had expired and he was kicked from the server.
Anyone know what's going on?

This was with Emporio's release with update 2

I found out that you will be able to play on lan and against bots if you just rename or delete the steam.dll

When i try to connect a server, it tells me "your map differs from servers map..." wtf?
But when i start my own server all the maps are working just fine!
I have updated and evrything...
What can be wrong? :\
If something is too hard to do, it's not worth doing...

ok guys it has finally come down to this, iam an experienced gamer ( meaning that i know how to fix some issues with technical problems or what have you) but this one is making me crazy, CSS that is. All i need is help, no filenames no links, no rulebreaking....just some help.
from what i've red, you need ( i dont wanna post filenames so i just post...ehh...pseudymes? anyway;
1, emporios css final version
2, the online play files
and
3, the updates nr 2 from emporio
i've red post after post, and nfo after nfo but i just cant seem to get what iam doing wrong 
not only am i getting crazy erros, but iam getting the WHOLE SHEBANG the pc crashes and wont start etc,
i know this has been asked time after time, but cant someone help my step by step to get this thing started ?? ( i know that this is one of the many sideeffects of piracy but since my economy is shit and i would like try before i buy)

ok, with some help from above, i've finally got it to run, but i cant go into the options menu, i get the following error " could not aquire acess to game files becaus the connection to the steam-"something" was lost"
anyone got a clue?

I just got cs:s luzifer from suprnova, but theres a password on the rar wich prevents me from extracting the files. Would anybody know that pass?

BANNED doesnt work, tried lower case too.
The name of the torrent was "Counter-Strike.Source.PROPER-released-for-www.bitcity.de.vu-by-stinger"
Theres a nfo and a bin in the file, bin is named LuZi-css.bin.
Tried to find the info on www.bigcity.de.vu but I cant read that language.
anybody?
