Highly unlikely. At least it's not worth to download 10 GB just to play "another Battlefield clone", as someone defined it.

Just started playing it, the campaign seems pretty cool for a game like this but it keeps crashing (About 10 minutes into the first map, on my way to the second objective.) and thus it's nearly unplayable, seems alot of people have similar problems over at the official forums.
(Crashes, freezes, game won't start among other problems and issues.)
Visuals and sounds are decent but it is the Unreal Engine 3 so that's more or less expected but the game has stability issues.
Singleplayer is pretty different from the beta multiplayer experience I had, you don't choose a class and it seems pretty story oriented albeit it's probably not much of a story aside from oil supplies running low and the West and East attack one another to gain control of the remaining resources.
EDIT: Had to use Razor's crack as Daemon Tools Pro didn't block this version of SecuROM and I don't feel like using the older 4.06 version for a single game - anyway based on the proper by Vitality this could be what causes these crashes.

This is from an ign review
"Now a word to the NVIDIA GeForce 8 Series users of the world: turn the foliage setting all the way down if you're running the game on "very high." There is apparently some optimization that needs to be done with the latest NVIDIA driver, because as it is now the game hangs intermittently for a few seconds if the foliage setting is turned up. It's a combination of a complex foliage system that is a bit over the head of the 8 Series and a lacking driver. We've seen this mentioned in the game's forums and have spoken to the developer who is expecting a partial remedy for the issue shortly."

No the game does not use Live! though it's a "Games for Windows" title based on images of the retail boxed copy.

yep, nearly finished the single player campaign on the xbox360 and its been really good, much better than i expected. I reckon 6 hours to complete which isn't good as i've spent 5 hours and only have 1 more to unlock

You actually mean the game is six hours long?! That's painfully short even for a FPS.

Welcome to the real world, most shooters are 6 hours or less. CoD 4 took me 4 and a half hours

This proves my statements when I say that 90% of today's games suck. In the good old days, FPSs like System Shock and Strife were 30 hours long.

It's primarily a multiplayer game, be happy you get a real single player campaign at all.

Stalker was at least ten times longer. As far as the "open world" feature goes, I highly doubt it's something really worthwile. Don't expect anything even remotely connected to a sandbox game, anyway (probably in multiplayer, but then you should just play Battlefield 2 or, better, STALKER itself).

I don't care about the game, but they probably should have left only multiplayer if they're unable to make an half-decent (and f@cking LONGER too) single player campaign.

So, bottom line...does the razor version work properly, or do I need to look for the vitality release. The problems guys are having, are they related to the release or something to do with the video card drivers?
thanks...
