Take Wizardry 7 or Ultima 7, compare either one of them with any jRPG you can find. If you're able to prove there's a single time where the difficulty of Wiz or U7 is less than the one of the jRPG, you win.

Oh, just to make another example: the old game "Dark Heart of Uukrul" had a dungeon where, for example, you had to find, decrypt and solve a giant crossword (not i'm NOT joking).

Where are the puzzles in jRPG's ? I have only played Lost Odyssey and there are no puzzles.

And we all know OLD games were much harder than todays games.

more a side element I guess, but freaking complicated.... Would never have discovered it if I wasn't told about it.........

Indeed.

In "Dragon Wars" you could enter a city by selling yourself to the slave market (and yeah, as you can imagine, the difficulty raises a LOT after that). I'd never have discovered this too if someone didn't tell me. Smile

Isn't there a .ini or a file like that where the game settings are stored? Usually it's enough to modify a single line to activate hidden subtitles, don't know if this is the case though.

Nah doesn't seem to be the case : when you change the language in the registry base, it changes voices + subtitles Sad

That's silly, except for deaf people...

I am not a Lost fan and to be honest I think the game is AWFUL! Graphics are ok, but no script, no puzzles and no way to skip these damn cut scenes...

And about the ending:

 Spoiler:

I like vanilla over chocolate, my favorite color is peridot, I think Tibet should be free, and if I could have dinner with anyone in the world, it would be Mary Steenburgen.

Restart - yes from the main menu (play episode), but no way to restart the exact scene

That means that I would have to restart the whole game. Now I only can wait for a patch or a cheat where I can skip that episode. I`m not the only one with this problem but I didn`t find any solution yet.

"Play episode" only lets you play and finish just the episode you choose. But you don`t get further in the game itself.

You're not missing much imo. I'm quite a big fan of Lost, but this game is pretty horrible.. characters look good, and for the most part sound good. But everything else looks very substandard and drab, which doesn't do the uninspiring and lazy gameplay any favors. Just feels like a bad PS2 game, uninstalled after 30 minutes.
