Which is, to put it bluntly, pathetic.

LOL!

Everyone keeps forgetting; no crack on EARTH will fix the issues with the current, English, release of AC. ViTALiTY will be along, eventually, and yep - they'll slag off Reloaded left, right, and center .. and never once sit back and think; "Hang on, it's not Reloaded's fault. The source ITSELF was broken"

Heh, thanks for the update. I have the RELOADED release right now. And don't scream "NOOB" but is there such a file to play Jerusalem in English right now? Or maybe even a save?

P.S. no links I can search 'em myself.

i aint screaming "n00b" and yes there if you look back a few pages in this thread you will see the new "patch" discussed, it entails backing up an english file , only playing the jerusalem level, then putting back the english level

to be honest best suggestion i have is do one of two things...
1- get the savegames made AFTER jerusalem, then replay the game once its released properly or
2 -wait for a proper release, and play about in the levels you *can* play in, namely acre, damascus

Assassin's Creed itself is a boring game. Yet trying to find some workarounds to play it before the official release is what gives a real thrill.

A german gamerwebsite posts this news:

Ubisoft announces in a press release to sue illegal downloaders of assassins creed illegal version, which appeared some days ago on p2p and other networks. therefore Ubisoft collected manymany IP adresses and transferes them to the responsible courts of each country.

http://www.gamestar.de/news/pc/spiele/action/adventure/assassin_s_creed/1478224/assassin_s_creed.html

so better be cautiously!
as for austria (central europe) i can tell you that police can get IP related dates (name, adress, etc.) without permission of a judge. Exclamation

Ok, now I see what they were trying to do and I am not sure it was legal, when you installed ac it was asking for permission to the internet for some reason, of course every sane person would immediately block this sucker when the firewall detects it, and would read and send the ip to the ubisoft headquarters, either that or they accidentally lost their beta and they are planning to sue the guy that stole it.

Hay guys, it's a GameStar news. That network is notorious for making up ridicilousy idiotic ideas what they try to feed to people as "news". It's just some pathetic way to get some attention to themselves.

It's illegal to use any program to gather any information from a computer without the user's consent. It would be called "spyware". Since it's illegal, they wouldn't be able to use it against anyone. We are not terrorists, so they would be unable to justify this kind of information gathering (only Germany had the idea to use computer-search through spywares, but they deemed it unconstitutional). Why do you think the police always target the big servers' owners instead of the users?

Plus some common sense people.Just how many people downloaded it in your opinion? Hundreds of thousands to say the least (most likely around 1 million). Does any of you honestly beleive that any law enforcement with their sound peace of mind would go out and start suing people for one (ONE) game?

There are people out there who mass-produce warez-discs to sell for money, and they have hard problem catching those guys.

So I wouldn't give too much thought to this. It's just GS's typical attention-whoring.

that wasn't me talking
someone else said the black borders means the game isn't retail because it was in some German mag

i was reading some Q&A and they say there is going to be 4 new investigation missions in the PC version, someone said these were not in any of the releases yet they are, ive done all 4 while playing the "non retail version"
archer assassination, rooftop race challenge, merchant stand destruction challenge and escort challenge
the versions floating around are clearly retail they just dont work

have we already determined this? what a waste of finger movements

Even if it works, it's still just a fix, not the final one... will probably still crash every hour or so and miss the extra stuff pc version should have (or is the extra content there? dunno 'cos I didn't play x360 version)

Yes, the new 4 missions are included, if you play the first parts of Damascus and Acre you can play 3 of them.

However they aren't so funny, I'm glad that I already bought and played the X360 version.

Russian Patch Works, Almost.

I can go to Jerusalem but if I Talk to anyone or an NPC (Villager) Talks, they will stutter and the sound loops.

If I rename the file or Delete that Sounds.Forge File, there is no English Audio but it also DOES NOT STUTTER.

So, Im stuck with English Stutter, or Complete Russian.
