I got the 1.49gb full version, running at 333hz ..... wtf is wrong ?!
Any ideas, if I'm using a copy 4gb Sony memory stick, do you think that might have a slower read cos it's a copy thus slowing the game down ... Shit I'm gonna dl a different version |
Same here, also if i try to save the file is corrupt, it says 0 kb whats up with that..?

I can save ok ....... When i initially copied it from my Com to PSP I fucked up and then I was left with a file that is 0kb in my iso folder, that I can't delete, I renamed it and it doesn't show up but it's there and I can't delete it.
Maybe that's the reason ?!?!
Maybe I should reformat my memory card to get rid of that 0kb file ?!?

Weird I'm not having problems at all, using 3.90 m33 with update 2 and a verified fake sony 4gb mem card formatted in FAT16 which takes ages to write to.
edit, i should mention i have all the cpu speeds set to default in the recovery menu too.

Hi, think this is why your isos are loading slow...........
http://psp-spot.com/t52327.html
Beware that the process may cause a semi brick if you select the wrong option when running psardumper on the 3.71 eboot, may have been fixed now so I'd check the dedicated PSP sites....

Fake Sony memory card?....Ouch...
Can you try it on another card just to make sure? Some fakes are terribly slow.

This is known from the first release of 3.80. People say sony messed something with the MS drivers. All you can do is going back to 3.71 M33-4 via pandora. For me the new features of 3.80 and above are not worth the speed decrease.

I initially trieds it on my 3.71 M33-4 and it lagged .... that's why I updated, I've tried everything, think it's just my slow as hell fake memory card.
It takes about 9 minutes to put God Of War on my memory stick, that isn't normal is it ????

Mine is fake and take @ 9 minutes or more to transfer this ISO. But it still playing fine for me.
Try formatting in FAT16, and yes it's possible on 4GB.

It lagged for a few seconds while entering new areas after i compressed the ISO but with the plain ISO everything runs really smooth.
You should go back to 3.71 to make sure you get the maximum speed and then try to reformat your MS either using FAT16 or FAT32. Just try both. If this doesnt help you should get a faster stick.

In Windows start cmd.exe and for FAT16 type:
--
format z: /FS:FAT
--
or for FAT32 type:
--
format z: /FS:FAT32
--
Replace z: with the driveletter of your Stick.

To put GOW on my memory stick takes like 10mins, i also upgrade to 3.90 but no improvement and the other thing i cant understand is that its impossible for me to save, i played lots ofl ISO's on my PSP and never had a problem with saving my game.

problem is on your end, not the games on the firmware. advise redownloading iso, or do a uh.. i forget what its called, where you basically remove all ur psp settings or some shit... yeah u know what i mean, do that and see if that helps.

Guys, if the game lags or slows down, try booting to the recovery menu, go to Advanced, then Advanced Configuration, set "Execute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO" and "Plain modules in UMD/ISO" to Disable.

i grabbed the 1.49gb version, used umdgen 4.00 to remove padding etc, compressed to cso (1.25gb) and on my psp fat (ta082) with 2gb fake and 3.90m33-2 it is running absolutely fine. a very little slowdown when streaming new level but nothing intrusive or unexpected as its a cso...
im not using fatsmod or psardumper mod or anything. went from 3.51m33-5 > 3.80m33 and then used online update to get to 3.90, everthing is hunkydory
