Hi all Smile

I've been playing hearts of iron 2 recently ,and everything is great in the game except for the battles Sad
There crap i think ,so I'm wondering if anyone knows any other games like hearts of iron 2 but with better battles?
As this spoils the game i think anyway.

The only suggestion I have is something like Close Combat or Combat Mission (although if you don't like the battles in HOI you might not like the abstractness of the latter).

Please don't try Combat Mission! Maybe the Medal of Honour series is more your kind of thing yes? Very Happy

I agree Sad
I game is class other then the dated graphics and the battle sequences.
If they do a remake it'll be miles better.

Closest thing you will get is something like rome total war...

HOI2 is not really about that kinda thing.. its far more strategic.. a game like that with battles would simply take to long

You maybe don't understand the battles in HOI that well - read up on wikipedia and you might develop a better appreciation of that style of gameplay. Sorry if you do, I don't want to be presumptuous but it's a possibility that the nuances and how it works haven't yet clicked.
