Into The Wild 10/10 - a beautiful shot film about a young man that decides to leave his family and everything behind in favour of embarking on a long journey through america.

Can you compare it with another well known movie?

I like Sean Penn very much and seeing him directing a movie would be pretty interesting

yeah, that movie rocks. I haven't seen a movie like it before. It makes you think about a lot of things, and on the other hand it has a lot of action. Normally you have action or emo shit, here it is combined perfectly. This was the first movie in quite some time i said "no, don't end".

Just watch it, you won't regret is.

btw jumper is a 3/10. Don't botter watching it, just watch the trailer. Really... Jumper is boring. They just made a trailer full of action that lasts 2 mins or so and they filled it with boring crap. I know how the pyramids look and i have been in rome twice. A slowmo shot of 3 mins isnt going to make me say "waaaw". And 1 min action shot and 10 min blablablabla that sounds like crap isnt going to make me say "waaaw". I was watching my watch all the time so i could leave the cinema.

In bruges is 8/10: im from belgium... and the movie rox as well.

We own the night: 8/10, eva mendez is hot, joaquin phoenix is a fatty nowadays and the movie is exciting

american gangster 8/10, just my cup of tea

cloverfield 6/10 ok filming(it is creative), story sucks, kinda lame it is only 70 mins. Keep advertising, because the movie itself sux... The same guy that made me watch jumper convinced me to watch cloverfield and he disliked "in bruges", maybe i shouldnt go with him the next time:p

No country for old men: 9/10 sometimes you just feel a movie deserves an oscar. The movie appears to go on slowly, but before you know it, you spent 2 h watching it.

the brave one: 7/10, it is still weird to see sayid from lost play a role in a movie... Besides that, just an ok movie that becomes a bit over the top in the end... yeah become a killing machine, riiiiight

ok movies, better than 2006-2007. that was a crappy time...

btw:

2008-03-16 XviD 88 Minutes (2007) *DVDRiP* *WS* RCDIVX 99x15 MB
2008-03-16 XviD The Air I Breathe (2007) *DVDRiP* *WS* *LIMITED* NEPTUNE 50x15 MB
2008-03-06 XviD The Kite Runner (2007) *DVDRiP* DIAMOND 98x15 MB

Good flicks or not??

Jumper 4/10 - like somebody posted earlier... the movie was terrible!!!!! haha. It really isn't worth your time unless you are unable to choose what movie you will be watching.

Everything is Illuminated 9.875/10 - What a fun movie. This movie is damn funny, has a great soundtrack, and the casting was perfect. The only thing that kept it from being a perfect movie was the slow pacing towards the end of the movie and a very unexplainable event that you just have to watch to understand.

Yes, you're quite right.

Kaneshiro's performance really amazed me (again) btw. Can't wait for John Woo's Red Cliffs.

There's a non-scene release which is a DVD9 - Mandaring DTS ES 6.1 and Cantonese EX 5.1 with English and Chinese subs.

And a scene dvd5 release: the.warlords-fzero with Mandaring 5.1 and DTS with english subs.

Into the Wild 10/10 very nice drama, very believable and likeable characters. Very nice in 720p and 90", a perfect movie too see on a big screen because of the scenery.

No country for old men 7/10. Not as good as their previous movies (Fargo and Big Lebowski for example, which has far more interesting and more well developed characters)

The mist 6.5/10 an ok horror flick, nothing spectacular. Might have been better if it was 30 mins longer, everything progressed too quick.. had an ok amount of interesting characters (for a horror movie).

There will be blood 5/10. Rather depressing drama. Basicly just two interesting (very well played) characters, everyone else is just in the background.. You don't feel for anyone really (ok except for the kid, but you really dont get to know him well enough to feel anything for him). Highly overrated (has something like 8.9 on IMDB..)

Invasion 8/10. Sci-fi/drama/horror. Much better than i had expected, good tempo, not too drawn out or too preachy. Kidman is great as usual.

The Warlords 7/10 - Not a bad historical chinese movie, although it doesn't exactly go the extra length to separate itself from the standard war-lie-deceit formula I have seen in so many other historical pieces taking place in china. I wouldn't compare it with Fearless, House of Flying Daggers, Hero, or any of those type of movies, as it has little in common with them. It is more of a war/drama movie.

Concerning Warlords:

One scene which I felt was quite powerful was when they were arguing about executing the rapists. It has alot of relevance to modern day views on justice, and I'm glad it played out how it did.

Plus, the spectacular battle scene where Jet Li is like a whirlwind of death was awesome, my mouth almost dropped when he fired the cannon down the artillery line. Very Happy

It was such a simple book to adapt too, all they needed was to update the setting and antagonists and it would have been gold! Instead they decide to completely change the dynamic of the story, and manage to miss the most important message of the book entirely with the theatrical ending. The alternate ending was a bit better, but still lacking.

Jumper : 5/10 ... what a delusion ... everything in this movie is so mediocre !
Unearthed : 5,5/10 ... another pretty average alien-like horror movie

The Orphanage 9/10 - Excellent atmospheric and scary horror movie about a woman that moves back to the orphanage she grew up in to start her own. A fresh movie in a horror genre that is overcrowded with asian remakes and torture porn, but that is all from a different continent. The Orphanage is Spanish and is one of the few great horror movies I have seen in recent times.

Meet the Spartans

Horrible movie. Not even worthy a rating.

Enjoyable though.
