Weird thing. I was playing co-op over live with a friend of mine and on the areas where mine was slowing up, his was running smoothly and he hasn't had any slowdown at all.
Mystery?

Old/New 360?
Heat issues (I doubt the 360 would ever downclock GPU due to heat)
MOST IMPORTANTLY - Did you slow your DVDRom speed so that it'd be quieter? This is OBVIOUSLY going to cause issues during load (and UE3 can stream maps as your playing into memory, can't it?).

samsung drive, 1.2c, not downsped the drive as far as i know (it is noisy). The frame drops are really random, sometime not a great deal going on when it occurs. Odd. I'd like to know if retail is the same or unmodded boxes

I had my drive slowed down, i get FPS drops like the ones discussed...but rarely. and they dont seem to have anything to do with anything really. just totalty random.
Of course the UE3 syndrome of textures popping in 5seconds after the game starts is there.
But the FPS slowdown thing is really weird, it happens at random locations...if it for say happens at the theater... and then right after i replay that same thing there might be no slowdown..so idk.
I`ve played alot of burned games with my box and this is the only game somthing like this has happend...or at least to this degree. The random slowdowns in RSV2 make it unplayable almost.
Edit: Naish what the fuck....are you sighing over getting a 360? dont you dare bitch, i know you love that piece of shit.

Dont listen to him, sprint is very useful especially thanks to your brainded AI teammates who constantly keep blocking you from running away from nades. Now you can actually turn around and swiftly run away where before you had to die because you moved at snail's pace. It lasts about 3 seconds, and good for running from cover to cover in a room full of terries. And it also speeds up the game since you clear long, empty corridors much faster. And i dont wtf Mortibus is talking aboot, but it always works for me, the thing that doesnt always work is commanding your teammates around, sometimes they completely ignore your command or say something like cant do that.
Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.

Well, that's good to hear. I'll see how useful it is when PC version arrives.

i was talkin about that it tad glitchy and does not respond immediately sometimes, maybe u got magicly patched up release i dunno, plus how this feature wasn't really necesarry and useless, considering it lasts only couple of sec's, hell with all that gear even i can run longer without breaking a sweat
try to sprint on "realistic" when mofos shooting from all over the place
unless u playing it on easy then run'n'gun is pretty much handy
besides there is only couple of place in the game where u have to sprint to clear some empty spaces

Watcha talking aboot Willis. I dont use it for running and gunning. Im using it for dashing from nades (as i already said) and sprinting from cover to cover, not blindly charge at the enemy (im playing on realistic). Sometimes i cant see the enemy at all (but somehow those bastards can see me), so i need to get closer, if i just walk to the next cover i'll get shot pretty damn quickly. Oh and before i do that, i make sure that my teammates distract the enemy (of course i'll have to resurrect them later, but at least i dont have to restart).
And i guess i do have a patched up version from the future, since i have no glitch or delays, it works whenever i press it and as soon as i press it.
I think sprint was a welcomed addition, with a bit of strategy it is very useful and saved me on several occasions.

1080i is for poor people (joking don't shoot me)
I only have lag when I use nades in casino's with allot of slot machines.
Too bad there is no Dutch in online :<
Playing the game with some funny englishman is also great

great game .. finaly had time to play it
btw:
| Quote: | For those gamers who have picked up Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Comcast and Ubisoft have teamed up to give you another multiplayer map for free. To get this free map, simply follow these steps:
1. Select "Extras" in the main menu
2. Select "Comcast Gift"
3. Enter the code, "Comcast Faster"
Once you do that you should see a notice telling you that you have unlocked the Comcast map and the next time you play multiplayer over XBox Live you should see that map sitting right alongside the others. |
[edit]
and another goddie (some gun):
| Quote: | | In order to receive the special treat, go to the main menu and conduct the following sequence - (Hold RB) Down, Down, Up, Up, X, B, X, B, Y, Up, Up, Y. |
[edit2]
register with ubi (ingame -> extra content) and you get a free map (98MB) .. why didnt they just included that in the actual game -.-
