Hello all.

Im just done watching all the crap on movies that came out lately and since all my favorite
tvshows look more dead then alive i need something new.

I search for a good tvshow that can really hook me up again.

What i recently liked

Prison breadk ... more dead then alive with episodes last year
Lost..... looks like its ending almost and 1 show is far not enough
Heroes... dont know what happened there
Rome... also no idea why i don't see no releases no more
24 ... still waiting for the new season

I tried dexter allready but that didnt get a grip on me.

Please help me

another +1 for The Wire ... plus there are 5 seasons with 60 episodes to watch, so that should be enough to keep you busy.

Neutral It's not action really, it's a drama, so don't expect The Shield kind of crap. This is serious business about procedure, not quick style editing.

What this man said. However it does pick up in pace after some episodes. I just love season 2 and the harbor boys =)

Weeds -
Curb Your Enthusiasm -
The Office (American Version)
Scrubs -
Alan Partridge -

I think you should give Dexter another try, how many episodes did you actually watch? It starts to get good after 3 or 4 and then just becomes amazing. 2nd Season is great too.

Everyone (under 30) should take a look at Skins, from Channel 4 UK. Its brilliant. Really well written, funny and very edgy.

Arrested Development. You'll either love it hate it.

Six Feet Under was great if you like dark humour. But its a drama not a comedy. Pretty deep, too, for a TV show.

I wasn't keen on Dexter either. But I only saw the first couple of episodes, so I'll have to give it another go.

Dexter really grows on you, it starts out slow and then from like episode four or five accelerates and season two is so adrenaline-pumped it's insane.

Most people have given good examples already so ill just add some stuff that hasnt been said, not necessarily all series but shows and mini-series you can throw a couple of hours at when you're bored.

Weeds - Very funny and somewhat different show, definitely worth a watch.
Futurama - If you've never seen this you're in for a great couple of hours.
X-Files - All the seasons are available on DVD's now and the first couple of seasons are really awesome. Even if you watched them, it was probably 10 years ago, go dig em up again Smile
Robot Chicken - Great fun if you played with actionfigures as a kid and like the Family Guy kind of humor.
American Idol - I know, i know but hear me out. The first 10 episodes of each season is usually very entertaining with all the crappiness and shallow drama that takes place.
Ultimate Force - British action-series, very entertaining during the first two seasons if you like special forces and military action. After season two the series fucked itself over and is now a piece of shit.
Band of Brothers - Quite possibly the best mini-series ever done, all categories, IF you like warmovies.
Oz - Great prison-drama series with a crappy ending.

Gaming - Intel Quad Q9450 @ 3.2GHZ | Radeon HD 4870 X2 2GB | SB X-Fi | PC6400 8GB | 300GB Velociraptor
HTPC - Antec Fusion Remote | AMD Athlon 7850 X2 | PC6400 2GB | 74GB Raptor
Server - Athlon 64 X2 4200+ | Radeon HD 3450 | SB X-Fi | PC5300 2GB | 4TB+ total space

THE WIRE THE WIRE THE WIRE THE WIRE THE WIRE

I started watching this show about 2 weeks ago. Best I've ever seen.
Most of the time i watch 2 episodes each day. One day i watched 8 episodes. It pulls you in. Give it a chance!

Then there is

Dexter
Deadwood
John from Cincinatti

After the wire i'm gonna start watching Rome
I heard good things about Oz too

PS: Blackadder is priceless TV, must watch!
