Just wondering, how easy is it to repair a Red Ringed 360?
Or What would I need if I was to claim on the MS 3 year warranty?
Im Thinking of buying a cheap dead 360 and either fixing it myself (if its possible) or sending it back to MS and then flashing it..
Thanks

It all depends on what error code you get with the broken xbox (you should ask that if you are buying a rroded xbox). Some are easier to fix than the other, and some error codes are still not known. The usual problem is caused by heat and because of the great xclamp design, the mobo gets bent which disconnects some solders. That can usually be fixed with a simple x clamp replacement, sometimes you have to overheat or use a heatgun to reflow broken solder which can cause even more harm if not done properly (a lot of people had success, search xbox-scene forums, they have great tutorials on how to fix and what error code you get).
When i got my new xbox i moded and since i was already inside i replaced the shitty thermal paste and those retarded xclamps, and also added two fans that blow from the top into the case. There is no sure way to fix rod or to prevent it, but better cooling can certainly help IMO.

True, but i made it so it blows over the heatsinks, and the heated air gets sucked out by the stock fans, works pretty well and it keeps heatsinks cooler. So it gets plenty of ventilation and keeps the air inside warm, but not hot. Im also planning to make a fan shroud, so that only the two heatsinks get all the cooler air.
