Thanks blueskyz it did install but now when I try to run it, it says "you must have c&c3 tiberium wars installed to play c&c3 kane's wrath" Confused well the whole point of that was to avoid that message Laughing installed but still can't play.

Well all it really needs is one of those registry files that install into the registry and tricks the program into thinking that c&c3 is installed, to bad I don't know how to make one Rolling Eyes

Wouldn't it be possible to just rip the registry entries (The install path probably.) from the original game? shouldn't be that hard for someone with it installed to post a reg file.
(Similar to how rip releases work.)

i edited the cdkey out (its the flt one) just to be on the save side. Right-click cnc3.reg, edit, and enter cdkey for it (from flt info or somewhere).

maybe it works without key, dunno (wrath), also check if you have to change drive paths (i have mine on I: )

I finished the campaign part and it's only NOD side.

There is also a form of global skirmish, Global Conquest, without the nice video's but where you can play all sides in more than just a single skirmish match and with some nice additional features

it only looks for the registry keys , and for what registry keys it writes that in the MSI in the condition tab , its only the path and cd-key from the last game

How does that work?


you pick a side , then build a base on a big world map and move on it in turns and when you find a enemy base it jumps into a random battlefield map when you play against this enemy .
Mostly its one objective game capture all cities if GDI , NOD make the fear bar rise - build enough bases near a city , Scrin turn all into food

but its gets boring after 1h , waste of HDD space for this game if you ask me

Your joking right? it's common EA sense. Stand alone means you only need to buy the expansion to play it. If you need first one installed that means people who want the expansion have to buy the first one as well.

I installed C&C3 and Kane Wrath on my Vista OS,.. I boot up in XP, import the registry, change the paths so it point to the right folder but it still won't work. Say I need C&C3 installed first, it's there just not on the same os Smile. Anyone found out something?

Try installing the original game on the same OS as the exp, then rename its folder and see if it checks for files. Then start removing/renaming shit to find out what is needed.

But how did Blueskyz make it work already and it doesn't work for other ppl ?

As he said and from the screens shown he edited the installer file (Setup.exe or whatever it was called.) and removed both checks (Command and Conquer 3 and the Kane edition.) which allowed him to install it stand-alone.

This can be installed Standalone, witha simple registry fix and a little copypasta. Found on another site comments not sure if its ok to post here.

Remove if inappropriate

This EXSPANSION CAN BE PLAYED AS A STAND-ALONE!!!

Read this comment completely before attempting!!
Do not apply the crack until you have completed all of these steps.

This expansion can be played as a stand-alone, if you follow my directions exactly.

1. Install the expansion "Command and Conquer 3 - Kane's Wrath", using the keygen provided on the disc, in the crack directory.

I am assumimg you have installed to the directory "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath\"
If you installed the expansion to a different directory, replace any references to "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath\" and "C:\\Program Files\\Electronic Arts\\Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath\\" with your correct installation directory.

2. In the directory "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath\expansion\retail Exe\1.0
", make a copy of the file cnc3ep1.dat and then rename the copy to cnc3game.dat.


3. In the directory "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath\", make a copy of the file cnc3ep1.exe and then rename the copy to cnc3.exe

4. Create the following registry information with a text editor and merge the information in to your registry:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\Command and Conquer 3]
"InstallPath"="C:\\Program Files\\Electronic Arts\\Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath\\"

5. Apply the crack.

You can now play as a stand-alone withoout the original game.

Only thing i wanted to add, the copies you made needs to be besides the original files you edited.

eg. cnc3.exe needs to be in the main dir and cnc3game.dat needs to be in RetailExe\1.0\






I cant take credit for this work, but other people have confirmed it to be working.

Take it on a "as is" basis. Names have been removed to preserve identities.

First of all, would be awesome if a mod could remove the epileptic vagina's from this thread.

Secondly, I was disappointed. Liked the game at first, but the ending is extremely unsatisfying, and the fact that you only get to play with NOD (in the campaign) was a let-down as well...
