I'm not particularly bothered by those black lines but I've heard they are a bit bigger for 16:9 and 4:3 resolutions.
Doesn't seem like there's a way to fully remove them either but I barely notice them while playing.
EDIT: Yeah he does smile quite a bit during combat for some reason.
EDIT: Seems there aren't any black bars in a 16:9 resolution based on the below post.
EDIT: Fine, "Black Lines", I just refer to them as black bars for some reason, probably heard that term from some other place or perhaps it's a translation issue.
(Black Lines - Svarta linjer / Black Rows - svarta rader / Black Bars - Svarta streck.)

for the millionth time, the game is a port of a 16:9 game. comp monitors are 16:10 SO THERE WILL BE BLACK LINES and if u watch any widescreen movie/tv show on a comp monitor youd have those lines unless you dont know anything about the proper aspect of a movie and stretch it so it fills the screen. |

I just used the english to russian patch, and now jerusalem works fine but, ofc, its in russian. Now I know know what you have to do so i dont rlly care about the russian, but one setting is annoying me. Its the setting which you can set on or off and then you can switch from low profile to high profile mode with your right mouse button. If that setting is off, you have to HOLD right mouse button to enter high profile mode(running and sprinting). If that setting is on, you only have to click once on right mouse button to switch between low and high profile mode.
That setting is now ON in my russian version but I want it off. I already tried to find it using the english menu but the menu's arent the same, so can some1 who understands russian please explain to me how you put this setting OFF?

Isn't it? the reviewer praises the game quite a bit and calls it the best version of Assassins Creed.
Also while it is demanding it seems it ran quite well and I can't find anything regarding technical issues such as the ones in the beta (Disregarding the corrupt Jerusalem file the game still randomly crashes after about 30 to 40 minutes.)
A bit surprising actually as the beta must have been released fairly close to the gold version as it takes a few weeks to duplicate all those discs.

people fail to realize that the technical optimizazion is the very last thing you do as a game developer ... hence you can have a beta very close to the gold release, that still is totally unoptimized and buggy (technical) yet has the finished gameplay elements and codes ...
