^^ like it says, best way to get stuff from a laptop hard drive on to my computer?

btw, the problem is that the hard drive is not inside the laptop Wink

not a sata drive but a 2.5" ide drive.

maplin in the uk sell a cable cheaply, dunno bout canada tho but they are widely available

I guess I'm not having much luck searching because I don't know the exact name ... and for the few that I can find I'm not sure if it's compatible ... the amount of data I want to recover are a couple hundred pics from 2-3 folders that I can really live without ... so there is only so much cost I'm willing to incur.

also btw, that thing below the hard drive is a CDROM that is absolutely worthless that my girlfriend won't let me throw off the balcony of our 10th floor apartment ... girls = ruin fun!

I have done this many times using a 2.5" enclosure with a USB connection.
