The camera was complete shit. And going back for that girl....yeah right. its one thing to go back for your wife, but for your friend (regardless if your into her)....fuckin stupid. And to say it again, the camera pisses me off |
Come on thats hardly a fair criticism. People do totally retarded things in real life all the time. |
Yeah, but going back into a city with some giant ass monster tearing it apart is just retarded. They didnt know if she was alive. Of course they made her alive so all the teey boppers dont cry but come on. she's in a building thats about to collapse and their is a giant monster...no way in hell would i go back. unless, like i said, she was my wife, then its a different story

Been in many situations like this so you really would know how you'd react?
I also think fisk should be unbanned.

So if you weren't married to the girl you love, you wouldn't save her? What, the ring on her finger makes her more valuable than without it? He loved that girl, he went to save her. What's the big deal? The friends were all wussies (asking every 2 mins "Rob now what now what"), so they went with him.

Its different if she was interested in him.
But fuck, she brang a next dude to his going away party after fucking him. Insult made injury. I woulda let her fend for herself
And yeah, his friend's we're fuckin idiots. Especially the guy with the camera.

Minority Report (HD) - 8/10 - Very nice performance all around, extremely good visual which only makes the overall material great on HD.
[Rec] - 8/10 - Finally some good horror, easily beats The Orphanage with its horrifying presentation of an already used up history.

vantage point 6.5/10
pretty good thriller, somewhat spoiled by that stupid little bitch of a girl. poor parenting is what it was, her mother needed a good slap upside the head... the little girl needed 2 punches to the head, and i think the family would be nicely back on track.
also kinda spoiled the the HORRIBLE audio quality.. i downloaded the propered version with line audio, and it was still really bad. might re-rate when dvdrip shows up.

just finished watching cloverfield
just please note that before you read on, i can HONESTLY say i gave this an unbiased viewing... originally i wasnt too impressed with the trailer, but i said it back then, i would be able to judge the film on its own merits (its not the first time ive been happy to admit that i had wrongly judged a film and changed my mind, so im not afraid to admit i was wrong..) - hell, in fact, given that its been a while since i saw a good monster flick, i was actually looking FORWARD too this, as a highlight movie of april for me!!!
BUT...in the end, i can say i was definately dissapointed, ESPECIALLY given the hype around it... it was an average by the numbers monster flick wrapped up in a been there/done that GIMMICK. too much of the films running time was spent trying to make the point 'LOOK AT ME! im pretending this is 'real' by using a handheld camera!!' rather than focusing on making it a strong film.
there were only like... 3 or 4 sequences in the entire film that were good, everything else i thought was really very dull - i cant help but compare this to 28 weeks later, as it gave me the same kind of end-of-the-world sorta feeling, and 28 weeks was 5x superior to this i thought.
some of the monster bits were pretty exciting and were handled well, but i still got that 'staged' feeling about the whole thing... none of it felt real like it was actually being captured.
its not all bad, like i said, some of the sequences were very nicely done, especially the subway tunnel bit (which was probably the best sequence in the film for me) and also the bit where the Spoiler: | camera man got killed, because i hated that cunt and wanted him to die. |
---------------------------------------
overall, id give it a 5.5/10
---------------------------------------
definately nothing special, sometimes very boring, unoriginal in every way, but a couple of very well done sequences. its great if the rest of you enjoyed it, but honestly i think this films gotten way too much undeserved hype.

Stardust : 8/10 ... wow that was a really good one ! i still prefer the atmosphere and settings of a lord of the rings movie, but this is really really good ! it was quite a long time that i didn't cry watching a film (ok don't say that around uh ) especially after a good story !
28 days later / 28 weeks later : 6/10 / 6/10 ... uhm perhaps i'm simply tired of watching standard zombie movies but i found both of them just average and many times boring. Speaking about zombie-like movies i still prefer something like resident evil, at least the first.

Solaris 7/10 (the George Clooney version)
Good movie, but a tad confusing. Is he alive or dead at the end of the movie? anyone?
