So I will be spending five days in San Diego, California this weekend looking for a place to live for this fall... Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for things to do other than that while I'm out there.
I'll probably hit up the San Diego Zoo and go to the beach and whatnot. If there is anything that I should definitely see let me know... I will probably be pretty damn bored since I'm going by myself.
Thanks... I will post photos when I get back.

Yea yea actually it is haha... what schools are you looking at?
@Syco: I'd like to hit up some bars... Not a huge fan of going out drinking by myself but will probably do it anyway.

San Diego:
Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Check out Balboa Park and Old Town, maybe the Beaches: La Jolla, Mission Bay.
You might wanna go to Horton Plaza in downtown, Seaport village is cool if you wanna check out all the Navy's Carriers and battleships. They are open for the public to view and tour. If you are here long enough a trip to TJ might sound good, just be careful.
I attend UCSD, it's a great school.
I can't really think right now so I'll add more later.

Yea, It's really nice... I'm so used to the crappy Chicago cold. I love Chicago but the weather gets to me sometimes. Hopefully I can find a nice place to live out here this weekend and I wont have to worry about that anymore.

When did you arrive? I think you missed this past weekend where temps were around 97 Degrees inland, it randomly cooled off 2 days later to our regular 75-80 though.
Living here is expensive but I know lots of people who choose the roomate route.

Yeah states a really nice cool, mostly attendee's are buisness majors. I would have gone there if the commute wasn't such a PITA. UCSD is considerably closer to my house.
