ok guys! lets be honest here and don't tell me that the shalrebridge cradle mission didn't make you fucking shit your pants!! it was amazing! i think anyone who isn't even a thief fan should just play it for that particular mission. the level design was fascinating. the gloomy lighting, the old rusty abandonned look, the ever resonating background noises just flowed into creating the perfect nightmare in my opinion. what was weird was the fact that there were ABSOLUTELY zero bad guys during the first part of the level, and yet I was still soo cautious around each and every corner out of sheer paranoia. i think when a game developer can make people shit their pants solely via level design, then they've gone above and beyond the expectations layed out for them.

the attic noises were particularly nerve wrecking. had to pause and catch some air before proceeding Laughing

Yep, it patches t3main.exe, not t3.exe, so the crack works fine.

I personally like Thief 3. Would give it an 8 out of 10 for the role playing aspect of the game. If your not into stealth or role playing type games then this is not the game for you. If running into every situation with your guns blazing is your style then by all means avoid this game like the plague as you'll just die die die.

I have an advantage since I am legally blind (not completely) so plus plus with trainer graphics are not what I am looking for wich might be the reason that the graphics don't bother me but I will admit they could have been much refined. I also was told it runs better and looks better on an Nvidia card rather then an ATI card which might be the reason behind all the complaining.

The graphics are not so good but where the game excels is in the richness of the character acting and the story. This is what people who are playing it are playing it for.

I think the graphics loos great, on pair with Far Cry (indoor) graphics. It runs great on low end systems even (far cry does not). It does not look better on nvidia, i have two computers one with GF2MX and one with ATI 9800pro and i've tried it on both.

shalebridge cradle only good part was when you saw the first monster, which was some guy getting electricuted. i remember i didn't think it was real cause come on it's fucking abandoned, so i went another way and i looked back and it was gone, so i'm like good don't want to fight zombies. then i find out the level is crawling with them and they don't really die when you kill them and was very frustrating from that point on =p

I'm almost done with it and it was a good game. Not as great as the first one have been for it'S time but it's a good time killer. Surely you must like slow paced games and stealth approach because even if you can kill everyone it'S not where the fun is meant to be IMO. I'm trying the last levels at hard settings trying not to kill or even knock out a single person! Patience, patience!

I finished the game and I can say it's been a while since I've got immersed in a game like that... I agree the graphics don't compare to farcry and there are some major bug and gay AI but still it's some great game!

MAD_MAX333 : just killing everyone and getting away with it is a bit too easy in the game, youre not suposed to be able to do that since the game become gay palying that way Wink (I don't say you can't knock out everyone and kill some anyway)

Try using the patch and playing on expert, you'll get owned when there is more then one person.

ATI9800pro, P4 2.6 (@ 3.25)., 1GB DDR RAM. Why are you asking? Graphics is a lot more than hi-detailed textures you know. Thief3 has a great (artistic) textures, and much work has also been put into attention to design/detail.

(btw, was this opinion enough for a tempban? or why did i get that??? just curious.)

And sorry if this has been posted before. Did search for it, found nothing, but was too lazy to read thru the hole thread Wink
