Well in all honesty you would expect the high class homes to be more desirable for robbery. Good thieves don't waste their time with lower class homes.
As for the girl it may have not even been a pedophile rich children are also better targets for ransom money as the parents are more likely to be able to pay the demanded amount.
Being wealthy certainly does have its downsides.

Oh, and we're not rich (I pay some of the bills, parents barely pay mortgage), just live in a nice neighborhood.

Don't you have a neighbourhood watch or private security?

If you have a 2 million dollar house here you can get your own private army

I know mate. My best bud lives in the middle of the roughest council estate in the area, I hate walking through the place because almost every time someone kicks off or tries to steal my clothes/trainers.
(yes, it is that bad)

I had my wallet in there. I found her reaction really strange when I hit back. It was like she had no expectation of me hitting back.. It was like she thought I was going to help her back up or something or like I felt sorry for her or something.
She may of given me one black eye but I bet I gave her 2. I am having a hard time sleeping now, I keep waking up to it.

More luck that that I didn't miss, she was either on something or coming off something, or mentally ill. It isn't like I have lots of practice punching people. I am lucky.

it was a traumatic event babe. Its no wonder your having difficulties sleeping.
The best thing i can suggest (if you dont mind that is) is go see your doctor. They have free programs at the hospital where you can deal with these sorta issues. Post traumatic stress groups and all.
And they may perscribe sedatives and or sleeping pill. Going to see your doctor is porbably the best solution. Well, a step towards a solution.
If you let stuff like this persist, your only going to do more damage than good.
I sawi it happen to my dad. He had a more traumatic experience granted but still, the principles are the same and ppl deal with situations differently.
My dad had 3,00lbs of steel fall on his hip and his legs. Too 2 years before he could walk again and then he had to walk with a can for 4 years. He's mostly better now, but has other medical problems because of the medication he has to take you know?
