IGN has stated that if you have the choice and arn't bothered by dlc then you would be best getting the ps3 version as its in there opinion the superior apparently
Headshot is that the review from cgreviews ? Haven't really followed the ps3 version but didn't think it had splitscreen. If its that one the Guy admitted to it being fake
Also been playing about on the cranes with a sniper rifle . Anyone got 6*s yet . Can get five but no matter how many military choppers I shot down it doesn't go to 6 . Do you need to open the last island for it or will I need to be tooled up with an rpg as I've been using a sniper rifle the whole time :/

With PS3 & Xbox comparisons:
The PS3 has a more relaxed color pallet, but this gives everything a more realistic look. If you don’t like the realistic look, and you have a HDMI connection, you can fiddle with your PS3 display settings and get it looking much more saturated. The textures are just as sharp as the 360 version, and there’s little to no pop-in or screen tearing. The PS3 takes longer to load than the 360, but I took several different head counts in game at different locations, and I always found the PS3 to be more populated than the 360. This could be attributed to the dynamic nature of the world, but it’s hard to tell. Either way, the difference was never more than five to seven pedestrians or three to four cars—it’s not really much of an advantage.
The 360 is bright. Boy is it bright. Based on discussion history, this one will be claimed to look better, but it’ll really be preference. The texture quality is the same on both systems, but the 360 has a more cartoon-like look. This isn’t a bad thing. It just depends on preference. I’d compare the difference to that of Oblivion on each system. The 360 also suffers from some frame rate drops that are almost non-existent on the PS3. Installing the 360 version on your system’s hard drive, however, will bring performance almost up to par with the PS3.
I know, you want details, but all I can confirm is split-screen on PS3 only. I was alone, so I didn’t actually get to have any matches, but I could tell that the split-screen worked really well. There was a significant decrease in the amount of traffic and pedestrians, but it didn’t ruin anything. This is understandable. Rendering two instances of Liberty City is a chore for any machine. I can’t conclude one way or the other why the split-screen mode was not available on 360, but I assume by the drop in on-screen objects on the PS3 that the 360 just couldn’t handle it. If you own a 360, don’t worry. You have Xbox Live…so you’re set. |
erm, fanboy review, quite obviously.... |
Below that it says this ...

NOTE: Geez...Posted just 6 hours ago, and I’ve already got hate mail! Let me clarify a few things. First, the build I previewed was dated 2/21/08. I finished the entire game (and have been playing it since). Second, the 360’s issues appear to be bugs, hence the disclaimer below. Third, I’m not a PS3 fanboy. The PS3 doesn’t have any good titles (except for Uncharted), so how can someone be a fanboy? I’m purposefully harder on the 360 version because I’ve been called a 360 fanboy in the past. There’s no winning here! Fourth, I’ve added a counter. When/If this page can rack up 500,000 hits, I’ll post more detail in a *SPOILERS* section to further legitimize it. |

I got 6 stars and avoided it for over 10 minutes. I got the achievment of one man army!!!
I just tried to cross the bridges before they were open and got 6 stars str8 away, you get gunships and sniper helicpoters after you, but it didnt bother me coz I stole a gunship helicopter myself and owned the police the only reason they caught me was coz I was low level flying to gun the police cars and got me rotors caught on powerlines!!

GTAIV Better On PS3 Comment Blown Out of Proportion
Apparently the owner of the site that said ps3 version is superior has come out and disputed the claims made by one of the editors saying:
Multiple comments and rumors are circulating around the internet that involve people arguing about which console will have the better version of Grand Theft Auto IV. Comments made by Adriaan on the website yesterday were blown way out of proportion. Both versions of the game offer an unparalleled experience. Both versions offer superior graphics. Both versions will have excellent online capabilities. After playing both versions for hours myself, I can attest to this.
The answer to the question of "Should I get the PS3 or Xbox 360 version?" can be easily answered by asking yourself this question: Which version will your friends be playing online...the people that you want to play the game with? That's it. Answer that question and you will be able to make your decision with ease. It really is that simple.

I'm quite sure the differences between the ps3 version and the 360 one are negligible.

Spoiler: | WTF no binco? no DS?
i know the little details count BUT if you put away the graphics, the physics this si not GTA4 it's GTA3 u can count on the fingers of on hand the activities u can do besides the mission!
i mean u can't buy cars, apartments, u can't ask someone to drive around and kill cops i'm around 39% and it becomes boring doing missions and nothing else
also there are freaking FEW interiors besides the ones marked on the map of the shops there are a couple interiors from previous missions
if anyone found more plz post here |

To that question yes there is my dear friend! Try this program out ORB http://www.orb.com/ you can stream xvid to MP3's str-8 from your desktop to your XBOX360. I feel you on that when I play a game and the music is wack to orb I go and stream my own mix.
