Boring?! It has the best bakery on the planet, Martha's.

Nope.
I found it hilarious, that when I got out of my "Polack" clothes, and into some Perseus threads, Michelle turned on me:
"Omg whatre you wearing! And those shoes!"
At least she liked the car. Speaking of which, I think its fabulous that you can park two cars (probably fit a motorcycle in there as a third).

Most important question, are there still bicycles in the game? By far the most fun vehicle in the GTA:SA.. And is the skill system still there? The current reviews dont tell much about the game except for gfx and story...

No bicycles, no skill system, no haircuts, tattoos or flying planes. To be honest, I don't really miss it.

how does the game look when played on a standard definition TV? there was a discussion over on the gta forums, some guy asked if playing the game on SD or HD affected performance etc...

Meh, that totaly sucks, the bicycle was great, totaly loved how you could maneuver it in so many ways, never strucked me as slow either (you probably just forgot to pedle if you thought it was slow lol).. would love to see how it would handle with even better physics skillsystem! Haircuts and planes i can easily live without though, but idiotic decision to leave out the most fun vehicle...

The bicyles though, they were kind of part of that "era" (not saying bikes arent used now), but you would expect a person like CJ to mosey around on a bike he grabbed from someones yard - its exactly how it was when I was growing up which was the same neighborhood CJ is from. Hell even today you'll see some tricked out baller in a Sean John sweater rolling around on some too small for him bmx bike. Someone from the Eastern Euro bloc - not so much.
Honestly folks, the bikes, the tatoos, the haircuts - you aren't going to miss them. Not when Niko is running around in some fine Perseus threads (Im partial to the Black suit with floral shirt, although the Cream suit with onyx pants is pimpin in a Sopranos kind of way) and a bad ass Corquette.
PS - for our UK people. . .in regards to one of the comedy club performers:
Spoiler: | Ricky Gervais |
Is his humor like that in real life? Anyone know if that was taken from one of his routines?

I don't miss the skills or any of those things. Having to go eat was just annoying.

pigeons are like collectible packages in the previous episodes, except u can't pick them up
u need to shoot them to collect them (there are 200 of them across the city if i'm not mistaken...)

pretty much, the routines he performs in the games some of them come from his recent tour. Some are new. Obviously on the talk radio show in the game his views are a little over the top for comedy purposes tho.
