yes...after some time the game now runs without any glitches or slowdowns..incredible...seems to cache some stuff to hdd.

Crashed (froze) three times on me in the beginning but no issues in the next 10 hours (with HDD).

I had one glitch today for a few minutes... I was driving after Vlad to go kill him, and then everything went brown. I was hitting things that were invisible, It was horrible... But I paused it and it went away!

this game is funny as fuck...when the police are chasing you down the freeway and there are slow assed mofos on their motorbikes and you just ram them into other cars and they flip over your car doing rag doll somersaults..so funny..other things i like are the rain looks good and just the way you go skidding off when in a car chase..i ended up on the beach and it looked very realistic the way the car spun...the shootouts are pretty good too.how you can take cover behind a door and then fire through the windows...excellent game and im only 3% in lol

Burned the game with some cheap ass DL disks.
Like alway's. I hardly have any problems with burning.
Somtimes i fuck up a disk of 2 of a spindle nothing special.
The brand i use is platinum. I think this is not any wors then
verbatim. The problem most of the times is that u just need
to leave your computer be when burning. The first disc i burned
hanged on the intro text screen. Then i burned another1 right away.
This one worked fine. Burned with imgburn @ 2.0 speed.
Ima burn this fucker on 2.4 and 3.0 speed soon to see if this
can work. I get DL discs for free so no worries about fucking up some discs.
My samsung drive does a good job in streaming the city
on the tv screen. I heart some new slower drives have lagging
problems caused by the low speed of the drives. lol.
Lucky me not to have such a drive. Take care!

So do you guys think we will be able to play online with our backup copies? Has anyone played any new releases online? with the xtreme 1.4 firmware? Is it detectable at the moment?

I've played multiple games online with no problems. I think those that get banned are so because of multiple things counted against them (especially those who are in the UK and definitely in the US who are dumb enough to play before release). Should be fine, especially for a game like this where you know people are going to get online.

The MP gameplay is awesome... Just watch out for the Cheesers with the rocket Launchers.... Thats been the only problem so far!!

i just modded my xbox 360 elite with benq drive with ixtreme 1.4
my read speed is 4x i think
but gta shows very much popup what can i do about that do i have to put the 8x of 12x firmware on it ? please help me

Some people suggest using the slowest speed, like 1X. I've always burned my games at 2.4X and never seem to have the problems some people have. If its running slow, try a different burn.

FINALLY! Got my copy! I was 10th in line and there were atleast 400 ppl waiting in line. lol
It was funny, the first few ppl who bought it ran outta the store and to their cars cause they were afraid they were gunna get jumped lol
Anyway, off to spend the nite playing GTA

Well, so all in all its safer to get a pirated version  |
not really. I was talking to a guy in line who has the pirated version. anyway, I was interested to see how the official version is compared to pirated version, gave him my number (he's an old friend of mine i havent seen in a few months). Anyway, he just called me and all the glitches and stuff he was experiecing from the pirated version is gone (he got the 360 version).
I think the pirated version is fubar. Atleast considering my boy told me and the manager at the store was saying.
There's no substitue for an official copy of a game....unless we are talking pc games, then its a completely different story |

I wonder what glitches? Cos the copy I'm using runs great, popups are rare.
I reckon this game is very taxing on the disc so if your burn isn't top notch or there is any other factor which might affect you like setting your drive speed below 12x then this game will highlight that..

i dunno man. i just heard a buncha dudes in line bitching that their burned copies ran like shit.
I cant confirm tho as i never got the pirated edition. still, i dont see why they have reason to lie. could have been the disc and or the release they used tho, i dunno.
If it works great for you burned, then all the power to ya mate |
