but how does it technically work?
i mean i set tv to hdmi1 and then on the pc side i need something that has dvi?
silly question ,but what "sends" the video as high def to the input of hdmi1 on my plasma?
any additional things(software/hardware)?
is it true high def? i mean exactly like the original dvd?

thanks and sorry for many questions

You need a videocard in your PC that has a DVI port, and if the card isn't like 2-3 years old, it should have one. And thats it.

And yes, it's high def Wink

If your TV as a DVI input (mine has), you can just use any DVI cable that is long enough. Might be cheaper. Smile

as long as your card can output at least 1280 x 720 pixels resolution then you have HD

And you choose your tv as 'second monitor' or something in your driver display settings.

If you are mounting a 1:1 iso copy of a disk, you will need a HDCP compliant video card to get the native 1080p stream. If you are ripping the movie, then what everyone else says will work.
