well i just didnt find it gripping or overly exciting..didnt leave me with that 'SHIT YEAH!!' feeling at the end, it kinda felt like it coulda been a tv-movie almost, if it wasnt for the good production values and mirren and voight being in it Very Happy

ed harris was criminally underused though Sad

i think it'll come down to how you liked the first movie. if you thought it was a great must-see movie, then youll think this ones the same id imagine. if like me you didnt think the first one was anything really special, youll think the same with this one.

Iron Man (in cinema) :
- as a standard movie - 7,9/10
- as a movie based on a comic - 9,9/10

I ain't no fan of the comic or Downey jr. but the movie really was good and im waiting for the dvd to buy it.

at first i was kinda worried about the director and how the film might turn out given the state of pure action/comic book movies (like how xmen 3 and spiderman 3 were both utter pieces of shit...), even though i like downey and thought he was great for the role

but after seeing the trailers, i gotta say, im pretty damn hyped for the film. i think its gonna be great.

Butterfly Effect 2 : 5/10 ... it's a real pity they screwed up this one, too short, story too fast, information given too little and some parts so cannot be fully understood.
Natale In Crociera (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1065329/) : 4/10 ... i don't know if it has been translated in other languages other than italian, anyway a deludent episode of Christian De Sica's saga of "stupid & fun movies".
Gabriel (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0857376/) : 4/10 ... well i cannot say it's horrible, but boredom and strange choices screw up the whole thing (angels and devils fighting with pistols and shotguns ??? ok they lost their powers on earth but nevertheless it seems sooo strange !)

Iron man - 6/10

Ok, can ANYONE explain to why the fuck is so great about this movie? I was really hyped by the insanely great reviews that it received but, what i saw, was nothing more than your average summer super hero movie.

Mist (2007) - lovely but they should have invested more in CG 6/10

National Treasure 2 - with all those mechanical tunnels and secret doors existing for centuries without maintenance, I always think about fact, that such system need constant supervision, cleaning of moving parts etc. Still movie is nice, nothing new or special thou 6/10

10000 BC. I don't know why IMBD-ers disliked it that much. I enjoyed the movie, watched it from beginning to an end. Usual dumb, but watchable movie 6/10

Cloverfield - Almost fell asleep in the first minutes, but then action sped up. First person amateurish shooting added to originality. CG looked believable. So far this one is the best from the recent pack 7/10

3 / 10. Talk about a waste of 8.3 GB Razz Some of the shots did look really nice in HD, at least made it sort of watchable.

Iron Man 7/10

Solid superhero-movie and i really liked Downey's acting, the scenes where he created the suit etc. Sort of a weak ending with Iron Monger being completed in what seemed like a really short time, but still a cool final fight.

In many ways a refreshing superhero movie compared to Spiderman, Batman and X-men (which i, for the record, really like).

Yeah I know. A bit last year or older but that's how I enjoy watching a film. On tv, I zap the channels and a film draws my attention. Wink

@Syco - i meant Downey jr. wasn't the guy i saw as Iron Man. He has shown he is good in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (fucking great movie).

Iron Man - 8.2/10

Downey, Jr. did a fantastic job and was completely believable as Tony Stark, but no one is mentioning how great Jeff Bridges was. JB ruled! Pepper Potts was mis-cast. Gwyneth Paltrow acted well, but an upcoming actress that's not beyond her looks should have made the cut. Anyway, still a damn good movie and the best Superhero movie since Batman w/ Michael Keaton.

The New Guy - 8/10

Very funny movie with DJ Qualls/ Zooey Deschanel/ Eliza Dushku / Eddie Griffin / Lyle Lovett/ Horatio Sanz/ and even Tony Hawk.

Every Grisham book is better than the movie based on it. The Firm has a different more realistic ending instead of the vanilla one.

you should pay better attention. it is about a fictional version of Monsanto, the lawyer who realize they represent scumbags and has a mental breakdown, and the lawyer (MC) who is supposed to "fix" the situation.

maybe you don't understand because scumbags of the Monsanto magnitude don't exist in your country?

i might have been tired etc, but i felt like there wasnt really a story going on, could have been a bad idea to watch it right after the firm ...
