Aparently vit's don't work because they are not consistent with their ingread.'s and the % in them. Look it up yourself.
They (doctors) say you should get your vit from food now. So eat a healthy balanced diet. Lots of Deep leafy greens like spinach, red peppers and radishes. Apples and oranges, plus other fruit and veggies. Celery is a free food meaning you can eat as much as you want and it takes a lot of calories to digest it because it has a lot of fiber. Aparently you just pee the vit pills out. If you want calcium then than eat the canned sardine fish, and deep green leafy veggies. Salmon samys with the bones and skin ground into them. I think dairy products like milk and cottage cheese is good for you. Cottage cheese is very low fat.
Color is a factor when eating food. You want to eat bright co
You don't want yellow or pale foods. Those (pale or no color ) are usually the ones that don't contain many vit's or nutients. Pale like butter, perogies, white bread,..... Stuff like that is bad. Bright colored food are great like strawberries, BLUEBERRIES (antioyxdents) (sp) carrots and kale lettus. Kiwi, olives, and squash's. All really good for you and taste great. Squash for dinner is excellent. Kinda like a good flavored potatoe.
Sorry I got carried away here.

I think vit K is the only vit that helps with clotting. That is what they give babies when they are born to aid in clotting. Sometimes with babies the liver isn't totally functioning yet so the vit k helps. It is a standard injection here.
I don't belive there is anything else to help. If you find something please PM me. I would love to know.

I think vitamin pills help, I eat a B vitamin pill and I know B has something to do with how alert or awake you are, and I really notice the difference if I don't take one or if I take one. Maybe it's just placebo but I don't think so.

There is no evidence suggesting that vitamin pills don't work. There is only one study, that i'm aware of, which claims that a specific combination of vitamins doesn't protect from fatal diseases.
B vitamin pills should work fine

good info pistol
I eat lots of colourful food. I eat tons of banana's (they are just so good), oranges, red and green hot peppers, apples (sometimes with brown sugar, if i want something sweet) etc
I just eat them normally, didnt know their was a health benefit to it. I cant stand berry's tho. I mean, occasionally i will have a few strawberries with whip cream if im at my aunts house, but other than that, i never eat berry's. I dont like em. I like cherry's tho. My neighbour has a big ass cherry tree that over grows into my backyard and he lets me keep the cherry's that grow on my side (which have to be a few hundred if not more).

All vitamins should be taken with food, even those that they claim do not have to be. Absorbtion seems to be better, I have read this in Men's health and my local pharmacist agree's.
Vitamin's don't work because the store bought multivitamins (Centrum) are crap. They also don't do what people expect, for example they do not improve athletic performance etc. Although the tests were not performed on someone who was previously deficient. North American foods are often enriched, so they already have vitamins and minerals added, a normal healthy diet consists of enough vitamins making you pee out the additional.

It's actually the other way round. Most drugs are better absorbed when taken on an empty stomach.
Some drugs need to be taken with meals to mask their side effects, but this doesn't apply to most vitamins.
You should always follow the instructions which come with the drug.
