Rec was a good one, Im sure the new version of it will suck even though its the original director Sad Why make a remake of something that was already good? Americans should learn how to read subtitles instead.

It's simply because the average american dumbass doesn't know even where Europe is on the map, let alone will start watching european movies.
So in order to earn some $ on the american market, they need to americanize the movie... By adding a blond chick or a black fireman and stuff.

is this the original or the american remake?

the original was quite good, and its about a chick seeing ghosts.. i wouldnt say lack of realism is a mark against it Very Happy

some 5.5/10
confusing... muddled.. stupid... it coulda been awesome with the plot i thought up... while it was going, i thought i had it figured out and was thinking that it was pretty clever... but no, it went a different way and i was wrong... but my idea was so much better! i should write a movie.

Vantage Point 6/10

I give it a 6 because my 2 least favourite actors are in it - Dennis Quad and that jerkoff from Lost.

The Forbidden Kingdom 6/10.

I pretty much agree with Jet Li and Jackie Chan. This movie is nothing special - it's just ok.
It felt too american and too much like Karate Kid for my taste. It was predictable.

I found it abit amusing that when Jet Li appears on his horse - it looked liked when Gandalf came back in two towers. And there is a scene with Jackie Chan which reminds abit of the scene with Gandelf falling down with the Balroq. These are ofc coincidence but still.
Nice fighting but I never actually got into it. It's weird, but these chinese seem to capture a whole different "feeling" when they make these kind of movies.
The main actor has btw an anoying look Razz

If it wasnt for Jet Li / Jackie Chan - I don't think I would have liked it at all.

Anyway, its a good family movie.

Edit: I think I'll stay away from movies with Michael Angarano from now on Razz
Edit2: I just noticed that there are people on iMDB who have found lots of more similarities with LoTR. Amusing Smile

L'allenatore nel pallone 2 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1073654/) : 3/10 ... gosh another awful italian "stupid movies" (as i call them) sequel
Die hard 4 : 7/10 ... quite good, nice action, good acting, not my genre otherwise i'll prolly rated it even better
The forbidden kingdom : 7,5/10 ... like Anthirs (but with a minor effect) i felt there was something that prevented me to be completely get into it, anyway over this sensation remain a very good and enjoyable action movie with nice special effects and a bit of humor too, something that ii won't watch it another time today but maybe the next month ... nice !
Macross 2 lovers again : 4/10 ... i won't even comment it, hope that the other two oav of the serie i have still to see will be better (macross the movie & macross plus)

The Signal - 6/10.
Very entertaining splatter. It wasnt at all what I thought it would be Very Happy nice dark humour (although abit confusing story).
I love splatter and this one is high up on my fav list - but no matter how much I love splatter, I just can't give even my fav one high score as its still low budget movies Smile

It was an okish film, but after all you guys giving it 8/10 I maybe expected too much. It was too childish and yeah, Jet Li was very bad and chan was ok!

And somehow, this movie reminded me of Karate Kid Very Happy

The training sequences on the other hand were very funny (:

Kill point 5/10

Had it's moments, but feels like I've seen it ten times before. The CQB was very unauthentic, and the policework was as if done by clueless people.

There are so many mistakes it's silly. But the one thing that really made it bad was how bad aim everyone had.

I also think fisk should be unbanned.
