Ha the instrument pack just arrived from amazon, now on to leech it from usenet and then I'll get my GF over to sing and some friends to play the instruments and get drunk, it's gonna be a awesome evening.
And whoever said that Rock Band sucks probably just doesn't have any friends. While it's true that the songs are not as challenging as the Guitar Hero ones and it's not as much fun to play alone, it's just brilliant with more players.

amazon.co.uk is that? i ordered mine from there but they have se the estimated delivery time as 28th... wven with first class delivery.
The game doesn't come outt ill friday here in UK anyway.

Played for about an hour and a half yesterday.
The early songs are easier than the ones in GH. But since there are 64-something songs, maybe it will just get harder, but in a slow pace? Cause the first five are alot eaier than the ones that comes 10 songs later. Naturally, really 
First i thought the GUI (when you're playing a song. The menus look really nice IMO) was a little on the minimalistic side, felt kinda empty. But i realized later that it was a good thing, cause you could see the show more clearly.
The game and shows feel so much more alive than GH. And yeah, GH is running on an old engine/hardware. But the crowd comes alive so much more, they sing along, the band members play and sing in a way that gives you a feeling that they really are performing the song.. hard to explain The band, and especially the drummer, plays the exact way the song is playing, i cant remember it being like that in GH? You can clearly see when it's a slow part of the song, or if its a fast song, punk/rock-style. Im also liking the camera effects that appear from time to time, like the grainy black & white filter and so on. And the singer even stagedives at some point! Did it once for me yesterday, and then he kept singing while the crowd held him up. Stuff like that just makes it more fun to see and play.
They switch singer to match the song better, something i really liked. Overall, the shows are just so much better and feels alot more real.
Character creation isn't that useful in games like these, but im glad its there. Seeing as i love tattoo's, being able to design your own sleeves was awesome. I'd love to see that in other games.
So yeah, im liking it so far

Question: I have a GH3 guitar OK I know it's compatible with RB, BUT the guitar that is in the RB bundle has 5 more buttons on it than the GH3 guitar! Does it matter? I mean, does it affect the gameplay or anything? Or maybe those 5 more buttons are for children who cannot reach the buttons at the end of the neck... :S

Doesn't affect the game at all really. You can use either set of buttons on the RB guitar. However, the lower buttons allow you to hit notes without strumming during the solo sections of songs.

Finished the Guitar career today on Hard in about 5 hours. Got a 4* on like one song, fun but getting kinda old really. It was only when i picked up the stand alone drum kit tonight that i really had some fun with this game.
I've been playing bass and guitar for 8 and 5 years respectively so i know Guitar Hero and Rock Band Guitar is just a gimmick but the drums really are a great introduction to the basic concepts. The only arguement you can make for learning with a guitar controller is dexterity, but with the drums you really get two grasp timing and keeping rhythm with both your feet and hands. So you can definitly take these lessons over to the really thing.
2 Tom's, snare, symbol and bass drum. This is a proper drum kit, its all there.I have to say this is my favourite peripheral ever .Now if only they'ed release a 21 button guitar controller.

Okay, can someone be kind to explain this to me:
The PAL X360 version was apparently released yesterday, 23rd of May.
All Swedish websites say that the game will be released in June.
And, that the PS3 and PS2 version will be released in the third quarter of 2008.
What the fuck is going on? Why did it take so goddamn long to get the game to Europe? Why the fuck is the PS2/3-version being releaseed so much later?
No-one seems to know what is going on, and that is certainly proof of great planning, release-wise. Wouldn't surprise me if it was all about the fucking money, in wich case im glad i didn't pay for the game.
