I just beat Crysis on Normal and really loved the game. Now I understand why they will make Crysis 2. The experience was unreal. What an awesome week of gaming I have had! I just beat Call of Duty 4 and now Crysis. Yes, they are among the best games ever made and having beaten both in a week......speechless. There were some quirks that I ran into. Did anyone have problems with falling through the floor of the Aircraft Carrier? I kept falling through the floor into the water and dying! LOL! Right at the end too! Anyway, this game was great and offered a ton of game play types. The cloaking was incredible and I used it through out the game! Stealth kills and grabbing the unsuspecting lacky while cloaked and then using strength to throw him through a wall or at another lacky was incredible fun!! My PC handled the game well but had significant slow down at the end on the Aircraft Carrier. I cannot believe I didn't play this game all the way through before. I think it was because I played with my 8800GTS at default specs. But OC'ing my 8800GTS to 621/2000 really made the difference! If you haven't beaten this game, give it another try you won't be disappointed!!

Well MistressDeath I'm glad you enjoyed Crysis and I really mean that in a nice way. But I got sick of it once I went into the spaceship. I was so happy when the game was over despite the cliff hanger ending.
As for CoD4 I loved the game but wished so much that the single player was longer.

No problem, I can see how that would be the area where this game would lose people. I fortunately didn't have any problem with the Space Ship/Mountain area. I was actually fascinated by it. Kind of reminded me of Half-Life 2 when you got to see them building/making their weapons or ships. One thing, it was not obvious where to go. It took me a while to stumble my way through. I was hoping for a boss battle too. The denizens were nothing special and easily dispatched. For length, I actually felt that way about both games. I enjoyed both games so much I wanted them to be a lot longer!

The game could be a lot of fun in multiplayer if Crytek got off their fucking ass and balanced it.
Leave it to the Germans to make fisting someone more powerful then shooting them (strong porn innuendo intended).
Seriously....the weapons (apart from the Alien tech which is ridiculously overpowered) are fuck all useless. Vehicles rape infantry. The collision detection on missiles is flaky at best (sometimes you can down aircraft with a single missile, other times you can fire 6 into their underside and it does nothing). Not to mention Punkbuster servers don't support the 64bit client.
Crytek doesn't give a shit, Evenbalance doesn't give a shit (blatant hacking on PB enabled servers + no 64bit support). Shame really. Now that I have the hardware to run it well it really is a beautiful game, if only someone would support it.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

your still playing crysis multiplayer? i, along with everyone else i think, have stopped bothering. i BOUGHT the thing for multiplayer because the demo multiplayer was so much fun.. then the hackers came in, shit that we could accept was broken in the demo was never FIXED... they never bothered to support the game, so fuck them.. learned my lesson, and wont buy another one of their games OR both with their multiplayer because i know they dont bother supporting it...
i remember when that map pack came out... i laughed... rather than FIXING the game, they brought out maps, hahah.. i dont even think any of the servers bothered to put them into rotation because not enough people were bothering to play.
just blows the mind why someone would work so hard on a game, make it 'future proof', then do everything they could to insure that it died as quickly as possible.

How do I do it ? cause i enjoy it for what it is. It never gets borrying cause I can do what I want & go about the firefights how I want. plus on delta with them speaking korean it's harder to figure shit out.

well if theyre going multiplatform, all that means is that theyre designing for consoles and porting for pc
so atleast their games will work maxed out on current pcs now.
though im guessing quality is going to take a hit, and thats pretty worrying.

I don't know, FC2 looks more amazing then Crysis, while running on consoles as well. Maybe they'll optimize their crap engine now.

lets face it consoles are just low range pc's that have been overclocked to f**k and games are optimized to run good on them. heard gta4 framerates drop down to about 20fps but its cus consoles are shit. i bet the devolpers hate having to make their games look crap so a console will stand a chance of being able to run it. i can see why they didnt want to put crysis on ps3 and x360

consoles are STANDARDISED average pc's. i would never ever call them low range... but no console will ever beat a GOOD pc.

I dont think its gonna beat AVERAGE pc. I have GOW for xbox, it looks very good. But then i played the pc version at my friends house who has a very average pc,8600 256 mb, 2 gigs of ram, E6300 a bit overlocked, and it looks so much better. Textures are sharper, higher resolution, and very smooth. Only place it kind of stuttered was the map specifically made for PC, but then again it even stuttered on my pc which is a bit above average. Even though i like the xbox, if i have a choice to play a game on the xbox or the pc, pc wins by a mile (thats why i only played about an hour of mass effect, since i know PC version will be superior if its a proper port). Lol and im kind of afraid to turn on my xbox to finish gta since of the stupid heat wave, im afraid its going to melt and rrod on me.
And patch 1.2 was great. It improved the performance by quite a bit. Before my fps was 25-30 during heavy battles and 40 while its quite, now its 40-50 in firefights.
Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.

You int kidding m8, most boring game since The great paint drying puzzle, and the graphics are stupid, looks like some enhanced picture out of a holiday broacher. The AI is straight out of Doom 2, where its a case of "let's spawn some bad guys right next to him and the dumb git will think the AI is top banana".

maybe the ppl who dont like it but do like FPS's are the ones who have to play it on low gfx or im thinking they played for 10 or 20mins, saw the jungle and thought it was going to be crap. thats what i thought at first untill the story started to get better. def an amazing game

Tried the game after i switched to better system, despite being able to "enjoy" it at high details i uninstalled it after 5 minutes.

Played it with everything turned up to 10 and getting 4.2 million FPS........ still hated it.
Uninstalled it to make room for Pacman.  |

I played this game at a family member's house. It was very pretty to look at but I thought the gameplay was a little lame. I remember punching down a house and then a huge satellite... . and then running across some mountain (a pretty mountain) all alone for quite a long time
