Just redownload it or grab the demo from any file mirror as it's identical to the retail version. (Minus the activation key.)

Steam won't sell it (they want to sell the Mac and Linux version as well).
They've developed their own download system...

The combat system is really good. Its been a long time since ive played something like this on the PC. Oh and mine also crashes at lvl 3 :/.

Found this posted in another forum with a solution for getting past Pelican Bay crash.
1) Open folder C:\Documents and Settings\YourNameHere\Local Settings\Application Data\HotheadGames\RainSlickEp1
2) Open YourNameHere_AutoSave.sav with notepad.
3) 15th line entry Entered_Boardwalk = “0″; Change to Entered_Boardwalk = “1″;
Play the game and you can now enter pelican bay.
NOTE: Doing this will disable the disembodied voice’s introduction to the zone, but at least you can enter it now!

Found the mime fix
1) Turn off the game.
2) Open up the folder
C:\Documents and Settings\your name here\Local Settings\Application Data\HotheadGames\RainSlickEp1
3) Rght click on the file named YourNameHere_AutoSave.sav and open it with notepad.
4) Look for the lines named "movie_XXXXXX = "Y"; after you find the area look for the entry movie_worshipingMimes = "0"; & Change the 0 into a 1, so that it looks like this movie_worshipingMimes = "1";
5) Play the game and you can now get past the second crash

Fighting style like that of final fantasys. Game itself is jsut twisted humor of penny arcade. The demo is only 200 MB, not hard to try it out. Not often I buy a game unless it impresses me.
GFX I guess can be related to either silverfall or XIII (less detailed) but also done in comic book style for dialogue. Lvl up, choose your words etc. |

ah, too slow for me. cbf figuring out stuff, the combat is too fun and sporadic so i just search for combat and ignore puzzles. makes the wordy wordage feel boring fast.
edit: further in, heaps of combat so i'm happy. when you're walking around there's no music and if you haven't been paying attention, you get lost & bored.

Just beaten the game. It not worth 20 $ Too frickin short. Why Sam & Max episodes where around 9$ witch was acceptable.

are the crashes crack-related? Or is the normal version also crashing?
I guess its the crack cause the error message was 666

I purchased it and am download it now. You guys should support a small developer like this if you liked the demo. $20 is nothing, barely even pocket change. Stop being so cheap and buy it if you want it. (yes, I am aware of what forum I am on  ) |
