I looked for another topic discussing this but could not find one... for some reason i don't see any updates since the 17th... is it just me (maybe need to clean my cache??) or something else?

I know a few things have been released since then (stuff like Terrorist.Takedown.2.US.Navy.Seals.DVDRIP-Unleashed and of course lots of movies) but to me it seems like nforce is not being updated anymore

Is that so, if yes, why and when will it work again (i neeeeeeed this.. you know.. checking nforce is like the first thing i do every morning Smile if no... well really Razz )

Thanks! Very Happy

Just found on the 'net:
http://torrentfreak.com/sceneaccess-and-nforce-under-pressure-from-brein-080521/

Probably they had more serious stuff to deal with than updating the site.

It's not very smart of nforce to allow hosting of such sites.

they only leased the server from NFOrce. As spankie said, anyone can update. In the past i've gone public saying i'd be happy to run a new "team" of updaters, but no one seems keen to do the work themselves Smile

Well, I don't know if it has to do with the name change *cringe*, but there haven't been any updates since June 4th, at least not for me. I know for sure though that there should be some.

Even though the new name sucks goat balls, I'm not really that bothered by it. What bothers me though is if the actual service of the site isn't delivered.

omg, I have ONE update in PC ISO! What happened?

Seriously, take it easy, guys! It was 9 days now, but more than 1 NFO per week might be too much. We can't take it!

Now that this site is dead (or dying), is there any sites like this (nice and simple layout) that are updated daily? Releaselog is pretty nice, but they only list the "biggest" releases.

well, iSONEWS (former, leading nfo-site) is still there. a shame on the lack of updates and comunication to its users (we.the.community) here though.

i.e. http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45392

...why lock it if its just rumors? pfft. still i'd volunteer as a nfo-u/l'd-er if you lack sources.

@pieter: dun be shy, communicate dude Wink

Surely there must be some reason for why it has stopped. But it seems like all the mods/admins do nowadays is keep their mouth shuts. Same thing with the name change, we didn't know before it hit us. No warning, just suddenly a new address and name.

So what's up mods? How about a little communication? Wink

lol, i thought the same thing... "oh.. it's locked... so it MUST be true" Wink

sad thing is that this site is scripted on php... all they needed to do was include a 3 letter function call when getting/comparing the password... you know.. for example "md5".. or if they can handle a 4 letter function call they could also try "sha1"...
such as, for example:

$usePass = md5($passEntry);

it's like security 101... don't EVER store passwords plain text or with a symmetric encryption.
Use a hash function... and yes, i know about rainbow lookups but that's why you should add a bit of salt Wink

Hmm i always hated isonews... back when it was always like 99% flaming from some retards. That why i was glad when i found nforce...
With isonews rebirth as izonews it lost even the one good thing it had (lot's of good/fast updates) and i think the user base didn't really improve either. Now the last update is back in 2007.. i mean even nforc... i mean hump whatever, is more up to date than that Wink

But yes, it would be awesome if nforce (hump'whatever) was updated more often again, added direct links to forum threads from the main page for each post (like nfo-source.net) and got a better name! (or at least used the suggested logo ! Razz )

dude, that logo fom tester is just... lol. i think it should be official if the dns-change stays.

too bad mods/officials can close threads but don't give out info Sad

::edit::
or don't they even give a "hump"?
5x updates now for today. somebody is working still.
