Its not really worth it since you need a key off of a working console to unban the Banned system. And then it renders the Previously working\unbanned system worthless!

So why not use the working console then? Or am I missing the point? You're unbanning one console by 'banning' another?

Maybe you can extract a key from a broken console and use it on your new one? Apart from that I can't think of any other use.

And, since you still need an unbanned serial key, you can do that WITHOUT needing thie "mod chip" Just flash your DVD drive with the clean serial # from an unbanned console.
I'm with Juba on this; totally pointless.

Won't work that way, dvd's are married to mobo
plus this was released months ago

Actually, you can extract the Drive key off the MoBo of the unbanned condole, HEX edit that into the firmware of the DVD drive from the Banned console. That will always work!!

Correct me if I'm wrong , Consoles are not banned via the key of the dvd drive . if your banned you will need a new console or edit your kv.bin . You can use another dvd drive in another console . But the banned console will remain banned
chip above is for gaining access to the keyvault to change it.

I thought it doesn't have anythiing to do with the DVD drive. I read somewhere the MAC address is blacklisted.

Exactly... What we are saying though, Why would you go through the trouble of installing this to unban a console , you need the number off of a working console, which basically leaves your unbanned console useless.... Why would you waste a working console just unban a banned one??? If you want your banned console back on LIVE, Just switch the flashed DVD to the unbanned console by hex editing the DVD Drive key!! So much easier, and no soldering and takes up less time....
