sabin1981, I thought we were talking about game optimization not someone's xbox 360...

Don't blame the game for texture pop ins, it's the shitty UE3. I remember similar bullshit happening in UT3 once you load a new level.

It's a problem of the UE3. UT3 has the same issue, GoW has it. In fact, the only UE3 games I don't remember having it were BioShock and Stranglehold.
But it's not noticeable when playing without fraps.
Kommando, <3 thanks for the support, but no worries, no nubs will discourage me.

I didn't know that ... mainly because I didn't play UT3 for long enough >_> The game sucked compared to UT2004 and it really put me off the series.

You have to go to the room next to the Joker. Forget its name.

I'll be testing this game (with the crack) on my crappy laptop to see how well it really is optimized. C2D T5500 + 1GB ram + X1300 MRadeon.

I couldn't be happier that this game is using original setting and not some milked to death geek movie franchise. I don't need to see annoying star wars characters or some shitty star trek character that means nothing to me for once and it's awesome. |
I can see what you mean but I mean as well....Mass Effect has already been thankfully created. A nice new and unique story and characters. Now it would be really nice to see Star Trek done in this high production value along with the game play style. I love Star Wars and Star Trek, but Star Trek has never really been done right. Elite Force was not deep enough. A Bioware Star Trek game would be deep and rich in RPG!

I also have the save problem. I press F6 and it says Save Failed. Moments earlier F6 was saving just fine. This is really reminiscent of Sims 2 when it came out. That copy protection would let a crack start the game but you couldn't use build mode.

I think it's more of "you cant save here" type of a problem, not a bug per se.

Also, it works for you so that rules out that nasty Sims 2 type protection. We could be dealing with a bad crack along with a bug in the game. We need a new patch and a PROPER crack for the new patch.

No, I did get "save failed" at a few points, but I noticed "save" was gray in the menu, so... Last time I quit was after I had an auto save.

The galaxy map issue has nothing to do with the crack. I can use it just fine with any of the 2 cracks + it`s being discussed on the Bioware boards.

LOL!
Bioshock did it once for me, but that was on my 360 -- so I just figured it was an Xbox issue, you know? Loading off the DVD?
Guess not :\
