Well maybe if we were a year back and it was release like it was suppose to be..well after seeing the leak we can all say that it was far from done, i'll say youre totally right...my hypes are long gone and i will try it to see what it looks like.

Revolution...maybe...but you will probably see the "revolution" with a 2500$ machine....dont forget all the hypes DOOM 3 brought before is release. As i recall, the post for it was quite similar as what i am reading here and look at what it turns out...cant wait to see people saying: "damn that game sucks, i have the top video card and only get 30fps....."

I will play RTW as usual, then play Hl2 and hope to enjoy it.
I think the hype is far greater than the game itself. And, btw, Doom3 did bring something new (or something really old): it brought a solid, well done, scary single player game. I wonder what IGN "we're-too-smart-to-review-it" had in mind when they gave D3 a stupid 8.9 . Maybe they expected Imps to get out of the monitor.
It's not that if u spend 3 years to develop the game, it will be absolutely different from ANY OTHER GAAAAAMEEEEE OMG!!!! DOOM3!!! AND THE HYPE!!! AND GFX ON HIGH END RIGS!!!.
No.
It will simply be a well done game, which is rare nowadays.
Half-life 2 will be, I hope, a great game. And please, stop this ridiculous hype about OMG IT'S RAG DOLL PHYSICS!!! WTF!! SEE? I SHOT THE MAN, THE MAN DIED! SO REALISTIC! THE MAN'S MOVEMENTS LOOKED LIKE MY SISTER'S DOLL, BUT HEY, THE PHYSICS WERE REALISTIC!
P.S.: the water effect looks like blue jelly to me. Cool, but still blue jelly trembling.
