its true, someone posted this before, if you select the galaxy map and then start to right click maybe 3-4 times, the camera zoom out into the milky way then you can start zoom in without any problem, you can start selecting planets without any problems at all, the only problem is that once you arrive at any planet you can't get out of the ship ? the map is gone crazy again.

SubV if you nop it it will allow you to zoom if you then restore the JBE you can move your mouse again.
So just nop it when zooming in and out.

Or make a toggle like so:

If 10C86089 0F
Poke 10C86089 909090909090
Else
Poke 10C86089 0F86CE020000
EndIf

Maybe you upload somewhere a fix?

My flatmate is using the same RLD release as me, but he can travel between planets with no problems. He can't save his game manually, but I wonder why he's able to use the galaxy map and so many of us aren't. I think he played that far in one sitting, so maybe the copy protection is doing some funky stuff on exit/load/whatever. Ah well, I'm pretty much a noob so what do I know

Any news on the pre? Is it pre-spam or the real deal?

you can use it, if you start right clicking after you hit 'E' select the galaxy map, once you arrive at the planet of you choice and then the galaxy map start showing for the selected planet, simply you can't click "land" on the planet. the map is messed up once again.

Damn, hoping you wouldn't notice that typo.

The 'flaw' is that you're criticising someone whom you've never heard of for trying to crack it, when DarkCoder was (and still is) unheard of, and he cracked BS.

Scalee, what disassembler are you using, and what was your breakpoint condition with which you found the issues?

Common guys, why do you even try this crap. You must be totally sitting on hot pokers or something to just "go for" crap like this. Better get a couple of really good virus progs to clean up the mess .

Same disassembler, working on saves now.

Anyone have a savegame, with premade shepard after/in citadel please? Need to make comparisons.

I checked the patcher from GCW and it' definitely NOT trojan. Not tried it yet though.

@Scalee

There's a virtual function call just before JBE. NOP'ing JBE only won't solve the problem, it's need to patch that function.

ok tested the gcw patch, seems legit so far from what i can tell

1. tested with OLD save did NOT fix saving or galaxy map, and after loading it once i got the "game is compromised please reinstal" box to pop

so i deleted everything in the mass effect config folder and removed my old saves

2. started a new game, now SAVING worked properly but i havent got to the galaxy map yet. and theres no "game has been compromised" box when restarting after load/save

everything so far points to saves becoming corrupt once the "game has been compromised" box pops up and it disables saving, HOWEVER i tried copying my old saves into the save folder once i had a new game created, loaded up my NEW game and could still save so i went ahead and loaded my OLD save from the new save(ingame) and the save option was still disabled on my old save
