I copied the GCW #3 executable, renamed my save folder, and started a new custom career. I hit AT BIOA_ICE00 right at the start, and it let me use the galaxy map.
I then deleted that save folder, recopied the RELOADED executable and tried the same thing. I was able to use the galaxy map.
With either executable, I was not able to use it on a pre-existing save game. The GCW #3 is surely of no help once you get into the game.
I just want to add that I teleported to feros from a brand new game and yes the map and saves work but I didn't install this new "fix" so I doubt its doing anything.

plus that the map stopped working even with fix after a working teleport/save / restart - load.

i will not even bother going from the beginning again.
the game clearly still has checks in place.

the gay video appears right after you play mass effect, then the map screws up, and then you get past it to the nforce forums and click a link =]

Question is, if it's truly time-related, then they should also get the copy protection kicking in, only later, right? If this is so, then that's kinda fubar.

My flatmate is using the RLD crack (not using the GCW patch) and he was able to use the galaxy map with no problems at all, but he can't save. Perhaps some of the securom checks are tied into quests/actions you do in the citadel area. He did skip some content that I didn't skip
I don't know how this stuff works, just throwing it out there

Maybe that's more accurate than any of us know. Perhaps the version of the game that RLD and DTN got was a beta? real? antivir (yeah its the program name, good one to find shit) seems reluctant to that file.. not the crack, only the metapatcher... gonna scan it with something else.
