building budget rig for a friend

C2D e2200
2gig ram 800mhz
Asus p5b

and not sure about vcard

HD3850 256mb - 80
1950Pro 256mb - 60
8600GT 512mb - 50

price in euros, naturally

pc mostly will be used as a HTPC and web browsing, maybe some recent games, he is not interested in high end vcards

max res will be used 1440x900

i think 3850 256mb will be best choice but not sure 100%

all vcards are used but in top condition and shop gives some warranty, everything else is brand new

Mutantius uses those 3850's I belive in crossfire and likes em.

The 8600 is thee single most useless piece of crap on the face of this planet.

So either of those ATI's will be good, but I'd go with the HD if any.

You could also drop the core 2 duo and just use the core duo. They're 32bit limited but still quick as hell. I got one in my laptop. and should be a bit cheaper.
