finished it today, played through without any freezes or any problems with squad ai, "crack" is perfect already

damn fun game

Did you ever consider an option that release groups are waiting for an upcoming patch? Official Mass Effect forums are flooded with problems, so we should see a patch. And quite soon.

"Fully" cracking the game at the moment would be just a waste of time. Most of you can play the current version of the game with iND workaround.

Yep, I'm 11 hours in and everything is working fine for me so far with the crack, but alot of problems are down to the game itsself, check out the pc forums for the game, AI degredation etc is something in the retail too apparently.

current crack works perfect for me

Lol did YOU ever consider that when the game is cracked and the cracked methode is documented it is easy(er) to crack the new executable when its patched Confused

Anyone tested it yet? Same size as previous crack, but CRC differs.

The nfo claims the overheat bug is fixed.... didn't have that bug yet, so I can't tell... anyone tryd it?

@Leaf: it looks like the IND crack but with minor difereces. i think it's = to INDs crack.

Yeah, but maybe the minor difference fixes the overheat problem.... well I'll try it now, let's see what happens.... even if I never had that bug yet, so won't be able to tell if it does any good...

After 20+ hours of playing - I have noticed the bug twice. I switched weapons and finished the fights, but will give this a try too.

once i brought the game ,and played it it only crashed twice in about 40 hours of play so im guessing the crack is making the trouble for most users around here

No, if yet to have a single crash using the crack, yet lots of people on the official forums are having trouble with the retail, it's the luck of the draw.

Aaaaargh... was doing some driving around a planet complex for nearly two hours, and then the game crashed, and I forgot to save =(

I also think fisk should be unbanned.

About the bugs and glitches of licensed game...
In about 8 hours i encountered 1 "black screen" (gamma or brightness glitch really) at the observation deck on the Citadel High Wards during a cutscene. Some minor visual bugs like PC running half-turned (must be one hell of arthrosis Confused) with pistol flying in front of me (must be an undocumented biotic power Laughing ). Also there are some annoying performance slugs when your running in the citadel (freezes when go to character or iventory or some other screen, often loadings). There are not too bad, just leave some aftertaste.
I cann't really say anything about AI other then it sucks, whether it is buggy or just that stupid.

Hmm, I have been playing since yesterday with the IND crack that fixes GM+Save Issues, and I haven't experienced any bugs, except for a very minor one where your npc's won't say anything when you try to interact with them on missions. It's not a big problem as they talk fine in all dialogues, they just won't give short comment's on missions when you target them and press E.
Btw. to fix this I just had to quick save and load savegame.
Today I have installed the latest IND crack (The one with weapon cooldown fix), been playing 6 hours and so far it also works great. And Btw. I never had the cooldown problem, but I thought I might aswell install the new to prevent it from happening in the future.

Thnaks, a helpful soul already pointed me to the rapidshare download, but apparently for the first time in history, that page does not allow me to download because it simply does not recognize that I have java installed, yet keeps asking for it.

EDIT: firefox did the trick. Smile

I've completed a game with iND crack, apart from 1 overheating issue (in the last battle tho -_-), there were no problems at all.

whenever i get the overheat bug i just switch my weapon, finish the battle, quicksave then load the game and then the gun is back to normal and overheating works normally again.. i can live with it since my guns never overheat anymore with the mods i have on them lol.

by the way, ive never had ANY PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER other then the overheating issue a few times.. no crashes, no freezes, no performance drops or anything, its perfect for me.
