Let's hope they were able to tweak the quite simply awful animations and hit detection before it went gold......

Its supposed to suck according to hands on gameplay of IGN and other review sitea, they say its too slow. like fight night really. I havent seen a boxing game yet that recreates the intensity and speed of a fight. Anyone seen a boxing game where the fighters dont move like robots and have have fluidity of movement? It seems you can either punch then move or move then punch never both at same time

From what I've seen it looks average without being spectacular, certainly nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing as Fight Night. Doesn't have a career mode which I find most rankling, instead it has a linear story mode full of contrived events where you can only be a heavyweight......

well the ign review is pretty damning. Ihate it when you start getting into the mid console life cycle thats when develepment tool kit costs go down and its easier for studios to pump out budget games with a high price tag.

anyways here's the review.

Don't think I'll bother with this one, sounds like a huge bag of ass.

Oh, and Lawyer ...

Quote:
"taking the short bus" and other phrases to that effect have become pejorative slang terms used to imply that the subject is mentally challenged (or simply stupid). Some of these terms include but are not necessarily limited to the following: "retard carts," "syndrome trucks", "tard carts", "window lickers", "sped sleds", "sped-ex", "retard rockets", "the Magic School Bus", and "the magic wagon." Also the term "off the short bus" is used, as in, "Where'd they recruit you, off the short bus?"

I was waiting for a good new boxing game, this isn't it though Sad gameplay is shitty and slow.
Even the animations are terrible.
Avoid it.

punching using the face buttons is retarded, considering how good the controls in FN3 work.

This could possibly be the worst boxing maybe even fighting game I have ever had the misfortune to play. It seems the fight on the screen is one punch behind the one you pressed on the controller, moving around is stupidly awkward, It is a compete pile of shite.

I cannot believe I wasted a verb on this piece of junk, and I cant believe 2k sports released a game as bad as this!

Thats just the gameplay side too, The graphical glitches are a complete joke. although I did manage to create the funniest looking create a boxer I have seen. Kinda mike tyson corssed with alvin the chipmunk with blonde afro!

Is the team that did Fight Night working on that cartoon looking one? I think it's called Face Breaker or something like that.
