how do you know it worked right though?
ITs slows your system down by so so much, windows gives errors cause of it etc.
Once scanned a girls windows with KAV after her norton said it was clean , 73virusses after 50% scan so i just formatted.
BAsicly...update your windows , use firefox, use your brain , and you will never have a virus or spyware
Im the living proof after using PCs for 15 years.

no AV catches everything so i know it worked when i did scans with non active AV software

the old old old versions of norton slowed your system down, not the new ones so long as your not still using a P3 and 64MB RAM

Something tells me you did not go into the proper modes to scan. Not to mention installing a scanner after a virus is known to be present is not the proper way of doing things. You need to boot into command prompt and run a scan that way or/and in safemode if a virus is present after a AV instalation of norton. Also, 15 years is nothing to talk about most of us have been around a lot longer than that.
