I'll tell you what happened, nothing, they where outplayed by a superior team, plain and simple, Russia played fantastic and should have won by 3-4 goals.

WTF happened to our team ???!!!
sigh... i feel like used toiletpaper at the moment.....
I can imagine how it was for the italian and the french when they got owned that hard by holland...
but they can never imagine how it is to win those games with those numbers and then lose this match.... and get ass raped by the best coach of the netherlands....
its just a disaster we have to leave the tournament in this way....

The Dutch proving, yet again, that no matter how good your football is in the group stages (as Argentina was in the World Cup) it's in the knockouts that it really counts. And a lot of teams just cant sustain it.

Gearing up for the last Quarter here. As i am half Italian (my Dad) guess who i am siding with. I know these guys are probably the best/worst actors in the tournament, but WTH. Forza Azzurri. If ITA playes as in thier last game (ITA-FRA) they will be pretty hard to beat, only my 2C

If this goes to penalties Italy SHOULD have the advantage with Buffon but I'm not convinced by their strikers in the same way I am with Spain. The key is the goalkeeper as it's technically easier for them to nullify any potential.
Italy are playing for the draw, but they don't seem like they can play any other way in this tournament. This Luca Toni is really crap, in the tournament at least.
